4-Pin Molex to SATA Power Cable

Meets the need for converting 4-pin molex connector to SATA power connector.

These CableMatters branded connectors are PERFECT! It was a 5 minute fix to install them and get my computer back up and running! Thank you Amazon for next day early morning deliveries!!! Unfortunately, I had previously purchased "another" brand/version of connector, that "looked" cool and actually cost more than these! Unfortunately looks aren't everything and the quality was horrible, and they just wouldn't mount properly on the high quality female molex connectors on my $200 Thermaltake power supply! The pins were molded crooked and I wasted 2 hours getting nowhere before I had to give up, and push the repair back until today. Again, today I was up and running within 5 minutes! Thank you again CableMatters for high quality products, and Amazon for being there when I needed you!

These cables were used in a disk drive upgrade to a couple of older PCs. They worked perfectly, and cam in a nice hinged plastic box. This adds value as storing the extra cables is neat and easy. Great value. Thanks.

I needed to convert a standard Molex to a SATA connection for a USB front panel breakout box box and this did the trick just fine. Connections are tight and it's put together well.

SATA style power connections are still one of the mainstays of consumer systems, and if you have an squid-type power supply (one with all of the wires hardwired into the power supply directly), you may have need of an adapter to be able to use all of the ports provided. This adapter set is cheap, and the adapter pins themselves may have to be reseated after shipment, however that has more to do with the legacy design than any fault of the adapter itself. Overall, a very worthwhile piece of kit to have on standby.

I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Seller's have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

The power supply died in my aging XPS desktop, which I'm trying to limp to the end of life for Windows 10 in 2025. Hardware restrictions prevent an upgrade to Windows 11. Probably a Linux computer after next year. I did however have an almost new power supply in an even older Dimension tower that was gutted. The problem was the power supply had lots of Molex connectors, but only two SATA connectors. I was able to connect one SATA connector to the hard drive, but the other SATA connector was on the same cable and was only about three inches in length. Not nearly long enough to reach the two optical drives and I'd still be one connector short anyway. The Cable Matters power cables saved the day. I was able to connect both optical drives (SATA), from the multitude of Molex connectors at my disposal. I am now happily limping along with the XPS into the future.
