Keyecu Replacement Smart Remote Key Fob 5 Button for Cadillac STS CTS 2008-2013

I have finally found a fob that works! Some of the ones I have purchased either will not program or they do not tell you that it needs to be programmed by a dealer. This one was programmed already and all the functions work properly .I have been very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it.

Very fast shipping and works as expected. Programming method works easily. If you have a coupe, you need to use trunk keylock. If maximum keys, you need to reset keyfobs by placing keyfobs 5 feet away from vehicle. Turn key 5 times and press in fake key ignition until it displays 10 min countdown, no fob detected. Do this three times until it says ready to program keyfob #1. Make sure you insert fob top down and keys forward. Once last key is programmed press fake key ignition in to exit Programming. Lastly press unlock on keyfobs to secure code and verify they work.

At first, the key fob was easy to program and worked perfectly. However, by the second week it stopped starting my car. Now it only unlocks the doors and opens the trunk, and the car says “Key Fob Not Detected.” Very frustrating. I would not recommend this product — just spend the extra money and get a factory one if you can.

Good key replacement for a back-up key. It is not the OEM key. It doesn't open the door when I walk by the door automatically like the OEM key. But it does the job.

Great value for the price! So much cheaper than going through the dealer! Programming was simple, I had an existing fob so I didn't have to do the long time consuming way. Literally took 30 seconds to program. You can still program without an existing fob in the US (not in Canada), you just need the physical key and it takes 30 minutes. Anyhow, the CTS owners manual says to put the working fob in the cup holder then get out of the car and put the key in the key hole on the driver's door and turn it to unlock 5 times quickly within 5 seconds. Well my coupe doesn't have a driver door key hole so with a little help from Mr. Internet I found out you have to put the key in the trunk hole and then turn it 5 times quickly. Then, get back in the car and put the new fob in the holder inside the armrest with the buttons facing forward. The display will say programming #3 or whatever number you have, and then it is done. Literally took 5 seconds for that part. Instructions then say to take the new fob out and hit the unlock button twice, then turn the ignition key to on to exit programming. That's it! Worked like a charm for me! Now if I could just get the seat memory matched to the new fob it will be perfect!

The good is the fob programed easily and works. The bad is the key blanket has the grooves in the place my 2008 Cadillac CTS, and I need the key because the is not unlocking on its own.

Paired perfectly with my CTS. The only piece the instructions are missing is that the car goes thru three cycles of Delay as a security feature. Once that occurs the fob syncs! Saved $500!!

When in hand I can open the doors and trunk. I can also lock and unlock the doors. Unfortunately using the key fob I cannot remotely open the trunk nor start the car with the key fob. Sadly the blank key in the key fob is the wrong size and cannot be cut to be able to open the driver side door. I hope Keyecu will be able to remedy these shortcomings. Will let you know. Update: Keyecu sent me a replacement keyfob. Blank key is the right size and all remotes are working. Now five stars ... many thanks.
