07-28-2020 Update: Govee customer support responded and indeed the product was still under the 1 year warranty. They asked for pictures of the issues anda fgew hours later sent an email confirming a replacement was being shipped to me. I received the replacement today and installed it a few moments ago and everything is working perfectly. Colors and brightness are the same good quality as the first one I purchased. Definitely recommend the product since they also have good customer service. These LED light strips are good for the price. They are super bright and have different color options (you can even create custom colors). It was easy to install to the back of my Ikea desk and stuck very well to it. I would give them 5 stars if it weren't for the durability of these LED strips. After approximately 10 month (not using them every day) some lights don't produce the correct color or simply don't light up with certain color options. I have tried disconnecting them, changed colors on the remote control and turning them on and off but the issue still persists. Please see attached photos for reference. I have contacted them by email to see if Govee replaces them since they are still under the 1 year warranty period. I will update this review if I receive a response from them.

I loved this product in my room. I am 13 years old and a big computer user. I wanted to brighten the mood with a little light, so I bought these (With parent's permission, of course!) Here's what I have to say: For rooms and lighting, you should get ones with longer strips. These are short and meant for small uses. They sat on my desk just fine, but the adhesive is harder to use. There is a ripple in these strip lights so they don't stay flat. Also, the paper is very hard to peel off. If the seller reads this, maybe make it so you can take off the paper in sections so you don't have one huge roll. However, they work great other than that! The manual says you have to knot the bends especially, but I didn't use the included clips and it worked just fine! Remote was extremely easy to use and the manual was very descriptive! Pros: - Easy to apply. I made this work in 10 minutes - Very bright! I can see the colors well. - The remote has some awesome features (That are easy to use too!) - The color cycle mode is awesome! - Inexpensive (AKA feel free to raise the price by a few bucks ;) Cons: - The adhesive isn't very easy to apply, but that was the hardest part - No blacklight mode - The cover to the remote isn't stuck on very well, meaning it's easy to peel the buttons off of the remote. - Lights look ugly so make sure to put them under the counter where nobody will see them ;) Awesome product overall. Good buy for the cheap price!

I wish I bought this product sooner! Definitely makes your room pop with color! I recently built a gaming/work rig and wanted my desk to match! I installed all 16.4ft of RGB strips underneath my desk and boy does it look amazing. Lighting: With 6 adjustable brightness levels, I'd say these are pretty bright. There are over 16 different colors you can choose from on the remote with about 4 different lighting modes. You are also given 6 different programmable user settings of which I haven't used any (read remote section) Installation: Getting the loops down was a bit of a struggle but that's more of a user error. Govee provides semi-easy instructions on how to get loops down but you might want to toy around with it a bit. The adhesive works great, no problems yet (been installed for 2 weeks now). Slight remote issues: The distance between my bed and the desk? 6 ft. I'd say 7 out of 10 times, I'll have to move at least a few inches closer to the desk in order to change the color or power on/off the LED strip. It's an inconvenience but I typically keep it the same color and change it once a day.

This LED light is pretty decent for the price, and certainly fulfills its role as intended. Brightness: Has multiple levels of brightness adjustment you can choose from, so you can have it somewhat dim, or very bright. Quality of strip: The light strip itself is based on a clear plastic mold that shows all of the circuitry of the flat strip below it. It's fairly study, but just note that if you plan to bend it, you'd have to be a bit careful as there are some connectivity issues I've run into, as it's not a singular conductivity strip, but broken down into numerous sections, as as you bend the different parts of the strip, there are sections that if bent in the wrong direction, parts of the lights behind that section just turns off, and I had to redo them so they'd turn back on. A bit sensitive. Remote: The remote is nice, and provides a wide variety of different colors and shades of colors that you can just from, and some basic programming for the lighting function. Nothing extravagant, and no timer unfortunately as far as I can tell, but still good for the price. Adhesive: It's quite sticky, but just be aware that you don't peel off the back of the strip with the sticky on it. Took me a couple of tries before I could strip just the outer tape of the sticky parts. Final verdict: Overall, you get what you paid for, and because of the price, it's certainly a nicely made product all things considered. One downside is that it actually took a second purchase to get a fully functioning light, as the first one didn't even have the sticky part on the strip, and also the remote barely even worked, so quality control may be hit or miss out of the box. However, once you get one that is functioning as intended, it's a nice product for a great price, and I would recommend it for anybody who needs LED lighting for a display case, or purchase multiples for something much larger if you purchase multiples of these, though, I'm not sure about the universality of the remote functions for multiple pairings at the same time for one remote if that were the case.
