How To Jive & Rock n Roll / Kav Kavanaugh

I have purchased numerous instructional dance videos and I rank this "very good". The dance moves in this video are well presented and organized, starting from simple moves to the more advanced. The instructors provide good explanation on how to lead & follow, and how to position and move the upper body and hands. The short coming in this video is that they do not explain the footwork.The dancers, especially in the Jive section make the dance look really fun. However, it should be noted the moves for the followers have a lot of turns that for someone that gets dizzy easily, it would not be fun.

We had this on vhs and found it very easy to follow, as our vhs player broke down , we thought it easier to get the dvd.Thank you for your quick delivery.

This was pretty boring. Alot of hand and partner work. Not much foot work. You really can't tell from this video the distinct swing style, maby that is why they call it "modern jive"

This is a very good DVD if you can dance, or indeed if you are thinking of taking it up!!The steps and the way they are explained are clear and just to watch it is entertaining. I am a ballroom & latin (+Rock&Roll) dancer and found that I can use a number of the moves to help me. Now I'm not saying you can learn to dance as a champion with this disc but it will help, you should consider getting a few lessons as well. Go on enjoy yourself. I love it - might see you at the next dance!

I bought this title as a beginner and went straight to the rock'n'roll section which turned out to be a title I already have (which is not for beginners) which delayed my checking out the jive section as they are normally completely separate dances.When I did view the jive section, it is more suitable for beginners and is actually very good.

bought this so me and my wife could learn to jive the insruction on the dvd are easy to follow were not as good as the dvd but were getting there
