Good quality, while it lasts...
I have purchased this product and only after a week, one ear stopped working... I returned it, and got a new pear. THEN THEY BROKE AGAIN IN TWO WEEKS. I wasn't even that rough on them, and the part where the cord meets the ear cup undid it. The cord is a little short, and it suffers from poor quality. I don't recommend but the sound quality is good for the price.

Do what??? Razer? Really? Audio quality???
For the price, these are some incredible headphones. The build quality is decent, and certainly seems durable enough. The headband is a tad tight at first, but that's to be expected. At 32Ohms, they're easy to drive and can easily be used with any mobile device. Most surprising is the sound quality. With the right equipment, the mids are a bit warm for my tastes, and the highs certainly don't sparkle or stand out, and yes the bass is there in heaps, but it's controlled and sounds good with a variety of music. So they are warm sounding, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Soundstage is wider than expected from a closed-back headphone, and they work great with games and positional audio. There's a cinematic quality and punch when listening to these. I happen to like them. A lot. For the the price you get an incredible headphone that has audio quality that could rival that of other makers. And no, these are not for audiophiles. I also have a pair of Beyerdynamic T90's and a pair of Philips X1's that sound leaps and bounds better as far as soundstage and any other audiophile word you can think of. But for the price, these provide amazing quality and the sound is great! And they're small and portable!

The green covering on the wire is flaking off
This headset had what I was looking for. Something I could use to hear the TV at a fair price. Once I unpacked the headset bits of green covering from the copper wire flaked off along the length of the cord. I returned the headset and the replacement which came today is no better. Bits of green covering on the copper wire are flaking off. It's almost impossible to get it this situation resolved so I'll keep the ones that came today and hope they hold up.

Reasonable, but not for me
I've had experience with various sets of headphones over various prices, from sony mdr zx300 to ath m50s to nokia purities and sennheiser 558's. Just wanted to establish my background before going into this review. BUILD QUALITY: Packaging is splendid, as would be expected from Razer. The construction of these headphones is pretty solid. Nothing surprising or "premium" per say, but they feel sturdy enough. The cups are constructed from a nice matte plastic, which I prefer to gloss any day. The headband is rather thin and not very well padded, but given the headphones weight around 168g (~5.9 oz) it's not too much of a problem, since they're so light. The wire is non removable and have no microphone, so just keep that in mind if you're considering these for a purchase. COMFORT: The pleather earpads are very soft and have a nice rebound time. The pleather itself I would say are average grade materials. They inch on the cheaper side however, as with higher quality pleather, it's difficult to tell right away. On these headphones, the material is ever so slightly on the plasticy side, but shouldn't present a problem in day to day use. The largest complaint i have with these headphones is the shape of the earcups. They're marketed as circum aural, or over-ear headphones - and they are - but human ears are naturally elongated and in a more oval shape. The earpads on these headphones are circular, and for me that means I had to squash my ears inside the cups every time I put them on. So far I haven't noticed any discomfort, just annoyance. SOUND QUALITY: The headphones have very strong bass response, and it's obvious Razer hasn't ditched their heavy-bass audio philosophy when they started spewing marketing terms like "uncompromising audio." Thankfully the bass isn't too sloppy, but it isn't exactly tight and punchy either. I would call it boomy, or "loud and rumbly" would maybe be more accurate. That isn't exactly the sound signature for me, but to each his own. Right now, the overall sound seems quite muffled. I'm not sure what it is, be it the foam or the drivers, but listening to them too long makes me feel claustrophobic, and it has that effect of your music sounding like it's under water or something. I'll break them in for a couple days and update my review if this fades away. Overall, the muffled qualities and heavier emphasis on base results in a strange sensation for me when listening to these. The bass is very up front, which would regularly be called "engaging" sound when complemented with the rest of the music, but since everything else sounds muffled and pushed back it ends up sounding rather strange. Over an extended period of time, listening to music starts to feel a bit fatiguing for me. TL;DR Very light headphones with decent construction and soft ear cups. The cups are circular though, so for those of you with medium to larger sized ears, you may have to squish your ears or do a little jiggling for them to fit inside the cups each time you put them on. Sound quality is average and can sound a bit muffled and fatiguing over time, but has strong bass response. CONCLUSION For $100, there might be better options out there for sound quality. The Sennheiser 558's cost about 120 on average, and they sound infinitely better than these. It's not the best comparison though - the 558's are open back headphones while these are meant to be portable, light, on-the-go cans. I'm just saying that for the price point it is very possible to get better sound out of a pair of headphones.

Save you money for a better product.
These headphones just aren't for me. I bought them thinking they could be used as gaming headphones. The cord is far too short so your PC needs to be right next to you so you don't pull them out of socket. They are very uncomfortable after a hour of use. I would say my head is about average size and these feel like they are trying to smash my ears. The quality of sound was okay but I don't like a lot of bass in my headphones. I'm sure I could fix this in my settings but by default the bass is high. I gave this two stars because the product feels very durable. I don't know the logevity of the product because I sent it back but I would say they are well made aside from trying to crush your ears. Be wary of razer products. They may be a well known company but their products a sometimes cheaply made. This is just my opinion.

The sound quality from these headphones are way better than the beats I was borrowing from my friend, and just feel so much more comfortable on my head when I wear them fore extended periods of time.
