Plug and play.
I never leave reviews but with how simple and easy this scan tool was to use I have to share with other people looking to invest in a cheap scan tool. I suddenly had an engine management light appear on my MK6 Fiesta and with the lock down I have been unable to get to a garage. This product was ordered and once arrived I plugged it straight in. Set-up was unexpectedly easy with the right application. Within seconds I was greeted with my error messages and after a quick Google search I found this issue. Part was purchased and fitted and the error message was removed. No more error messages. Overall, over the moon with this little product. If you're in the market, don't hesitate and just buy.

Could save you loads
Really good little product that could save you loads. Had an error code on my van and was quoted about 30 quid to have the codes read. So I thought I'd have a look myself. 10 minutes setting up, reading the codes and looking online for the issue and problem found. Faulty sensor which was an easy fix for me. Only gripe, and it is specific for my van, is that you cant leave it plugged into the OBD reader of a MK7 transit. it sticks out too far for the cover to be replaced under the steering wheel. I downloaded 2 of the apps suggested and kept the one that worked best for me so you do have a good choice there as well.

Works - but limited features and software compatibility
Using an Android device, it pairs OK with the code "1234" however it does not connect if you try to connect it from the Android settings. This means that any software that requires you to do this will not work - e.g. "OBDLink" "Torque (Lite)" and "OBD Auto Doctor" do work; they automatically connect to the device. "Torque" automatically connected, for "OBD Auto Doctor" I needed to adjust its settings, selecting "connect automatically when starting" and restarted it. Not tested yet on PC nor IOS [edit] I also tried a much more expensive OBDLink MX 426101, which combined with the OBDLink app, allowed me to access Ford diagnostics that this device did not. So I returned this item.

Does the job, but a pain to set up
I Did not recieve the item in the pictures but rather a smaller unit without any displays/buttons etc on it, its a smooth plastic unit that looks to be half the size and plugs in and lights up. I Used the QR code on the box which directed me a site that told me which software to download (Torque Pro, i used Torque Pro Lite). Its a pain to get set up as there are no instructions and i had to follow instructions on the amazon reviews. Bluetooth did not work at all for me and i had to use the wifi option. Plug into the car (under the dash for me), connect to the unit on your android phone via the wifi options. Then go into torque pro app and make sure you have the option set to wifi rather than Bluetooth. Connect via the app. Turn the car on and let it set up. Then you can pull codes and whatnot. Simple enough.

Amazing value !
OK this comes with no instructions but there is a qr code on the box to link to a website that explains how to use etc. Just download an app called car scanner from android play store and connect your phone to it once its plugged in to your old socket via Bluetooth (code is 1234) select your vehicle which then changes to the correct protocol of your vehicle I have used it on a ford ka,ford smax and volvo s60 with no problems and it was very useful on the smax to see all the old codes before i cleared them with this device Very pleased with this item!

Cheap, Accurate & Easy!
Bought this product on a whim as it was only £9 and to be honest I wasn't expecting much from it, however it is very easy to get set up and the information you can get from your car with it is sufficient. Pairing it up with the Torque Pro app on the phone made it easy to read error codes and get live information from the ECU.

Not what is depicted
The one shown is not what came though...... I used this obd reader to find out what the light where on my car (fiat punto 1.4 16v) and it read instantly with no bother what so ever and there were luckily for me they were error codes not fault codes was able to clear them and car is now back to its normal self how I couldn't get it to connect to my misses ford fiesta 54 plate witch is strange as I've experienced issues with getting fiat and alfa to read in the past on far more expensive units but not with ford but at Least it cleared the fiats codes just food for thought
