Very easy to set up
I needed some extra ports to expand my router and this is just the ticket. It offers plenty of extra space and it worked first time, without any "setting up" or messing about. All I had to do was unplug cables from the router, plug them into this switch, switch everything on and watch it all light up. Great expansion unit for the router - and I still have a few spare ports for further devices as and when the system grows. None of the broadband speed has been lost, and my desktop still operates at top whack. The price was great (compared with other sources I have seen online). All in all, a good purchase.

It works and it's cheap
Bought to replace my mum's old switch that had several port failures. Lightweight, easy enough to mount, just plug it in, connect it up and turn it on. Plasticky but mounted in a cupboard out of sight so can't really be seen and unlikely to get damaged.

Easy to use
I bought this as an upgrade from an old 100Mb switch after moving to super duper high speed internet. It is used simply to provide more ethernet ports for gadgets near the router, i.e TV, NAS, Xbox, Nvidia Shield, etc rather than using WiFi. It is sturdy, lightweight and has excellent build quality. It is plug and play so simply connect one port to your router and the rest to your "gadgets" and it just works. In terms of value for money it is excellent.

Cheapest Branded 8 Port Switch (At time of purchase Nov)
One of my switches decided to die and I had to get a replacement fast. Amazon offered same day delivery for this so it won my attention. Priced at only £15 at the time of purchase (OCT 2022) This was a no brainer purchase. Arrived and plugged in all my network cables and worked. Not sure on the durability of this as it is made from lightweight plastic and only one led indicator for each socket. So there is no indication if the plugged in cable is working at 10 100 or 1000 mbits... just a note for those that need quick visualisation confirmation of the speed. Small plug and cable (dedicated plug ) so could be an issue if the plug/psu fails. All in all I am happy with the purchase. Pros • Total Value for money • No configuration Needed • Light Weight • Very Compact Cons • Not suitable for desktop locating • LEDs Do Not indicate Speed • Dedicated PSU plug As a cheap alternative this switch is very good.. It is also a branded name so some re-assurance there for product support and reliability? I would purchase this again as an basic Switch as it does the job.

It switches
Was forced into buying this as the TP-link DECO mesh devices require a communication channel on hardwire to deal with backhaul communications, that exist on only a few switches at moment but all TP links seem to do now. Took <30 sec from box arriving to me having it plugged in and working. Took more time for the deco mesh system to realise it now had a backhaul although I think the technical term is handshaking. 5min after plug in all was working as expected and now have a gig backbone on the mesh rather than the mesh having to use the WiFi itself to create backbone. Had it now for over 2 months and not a issue with it at all even though one day the room it’s in got to roughly 46c in temp it still worked flawlessly. Honestly though it might melt it hot so hot in that room!
