500 Writing Prompts for Kids: First Grade through Fifth Grade

Great resource for the classroom!

I bought this book to help my 7 year old daughter to help her with her writing. Really nicely written and I hope will be a good practice book for my daughter.

I love this book. My students respond really well to the prompts and are enthusiastically engaged in writing. What more can I ask for?

This book is great as a reference. It lists tons of great writing prompts for students of all ages, including my third graders. Prompts are sorted into categories, easy to find, and can be modified for grade level/age. Even my son, a reluctant writer, has found some prompts he thinks are great.

It's a surprising that this book has 500 prompts for the kids to work with. But I feel a little bit disappointed to find out there is no sample writing at all....

I'm not in grade school anymore, but a lot of these prompts made me think of things I'd like to write! Well worth the paltry $2.95 I paid for it. If you're into prompts, and you want to get back to basics, get this book!

last year i was pulled out of my classroom to represent my state in writing. afterwards, my teacher challenged me to write a novel And i am. its a collection of stories by me. sso i decided to choose some prompts from this book and add some jazz to them. awesome book.

Purchased these for my granddaughters for Christmas. They are 9 and 10 yrs old. They really enjoy them.
