I felt compelled to write a review and address the comments about cloudy water due to a waxy film on the rocks. Luckily I haven't experienced any of that. My tank was set up three days ago and the water is very clear. The rocks were rinsed well before being placed in the 40 gallon fish tank, they were very clean right out of the bag and nothing came off of them at all. The rocks look beautiful in the tank and I especially love the variety of color they lend to it. They wil go quite nicely with my African theme. I'm so happy with my purchase. Update: After a week my tank is still crystal clear. The rocks had no kind of waxy substance on them. Sometimes when you set up a new tank the water can be cloudy for up to a week until the bacteria is well established in the fish tank. So don't be afraid to purchase these rocks.

Loved the stone and colors. The first order was great; easy clean. Second order was very hard to clean and kept getting like pieces of wax or something coming off the stones. Cleaned and sifted rock many times. Put in fish tank and some fish died. Pieces of something kept flooding in water. Had to net floating pieces daily.

The river rock stones have helped dress up our outdoor potted plants. Instead of having exposed soil around the flowering plants, the river rock stones provide an attractive background and reduce the chances of extraneous grasses and weeds growing in the soil. The cost was reasonable compared to the local nursery (similar product) and the 18 round bags were easy enough to handle. May be an extravagance for some but once applied they should not need to be replaced.

Perfect to put on your indoor plant surface..would buy again

I have to say these rocks look great! They are all nice shaped, great size (no petite pieces), very clean (no dust), surface is very smooth and polished, the rocks have very nice mixed color. I am sure they are great for plant pot, fairy garden, and etc, but definitely NOT for fish tank. I used them in my indoor fish pond, soon I found out the water condition is not very good, although the fish look ok so far, there is something that's not right for sure. Then I did an experiment, I put some rocks in a glass bowl, and put some aquarium rocks (I bought from a pet store) in another glass bowl. I fill some warm water in both bowls, and soon these rocks has something like wax floating on the water surface, the rocks also smells wired, like there is some thing artificial there. The water in the pet store aquarium rock bowl is still clear, and has no smell at all. So I believe there is something like wax on the rocks, (does not help even I washed them a few times), that's why they look so polished and beautiful, but surely not good for fish tank, DON'T BUY if you plan to use them in fish tank.

Very attractive polished gravel - looks great in pots of silk plants and protects them from blowing away on my deck when it is windy! The item came very quickly after order was placed.
