Great for what I needed so easy to use to connect the wires and good quality

I have used loads of these and am pleased to say they are fully compatible with the "Anderson" range of connectors.....and somewhat cheaper!I always solder mine on - filling the tube completely with solder but at the same time ensuring that NO solder gets on the part that makes contact or is visible out of the end of the tube....this is importantWhen assembling into the housings I push the tensioning spring down slightly with a small screwdriver which makes it easier to inset them, once visible in the front part of the housing (where the contact is made), let the spring go and continue pushing until they click firmly into placeI HAVE found that failing to do this does occasionally result in them getting bent on the curved part which then wont latch into place and consequently wont connect.....I am guessing this is what the people who are complaining that they are no good have done.If assembled correctly they work just fine

The battery charger I purchased had only 0.5 mtr of cable, so these were to extend that to 1 mtr and have the option of a cig plug connection or crocodile clips. First cut a hole in the plastic sleeve and pass the red& black wire through it. Remove 8mm of insulation from each wire, tin each and push into metal connection until the wire is just exposed then solder, if you hold the wire with a damp cloth the heat will not affect the cable insulation. Make sure you push the black wire into black holder it only goes in one way, with the plastic holder end down push the wires pin in the final bit with a small screw driver. Do the same with the red wire then slide the red and black plastic together again on a solid surface push home until level. Finally push the sleeve over the combined red & black - job done!

This is a very good product giving good connections quick and easy to connect and disconnect. Only problem is the special crimping tool required to make a sound connection to the wire

Bought to fix my electric golf trolley. Ideal. Good to have these for future issues.

Product was fitted using crimping. I put 12 amps through and the plastic housing melted, started smoking and had I not caught it might have set my boat on fire. Not safe for 30amps. You could kill someone trying that. Buying this presume safe to 5a max for safety.
