Nice product at a great price! Would buy again for sure. Delivery was a little messy because Amazon put the seal with a rust converter and one of the lids was lose so the product leaked inside the package. Not seller’s fault tho.

It might work if you covered the back with sealant however, a trans seal is not really the place to gamble part quality. Take a look at the silicone gray OEM being replaced with the other 2. The Amazon version seems decent until I realized there was no overmold seal on the backside that mates to the case. Compared to the OEM and Napa black version. I’ll put my bets on the more robust and fully sealed black one. It doesn’t say viton however it’s duro is stiffer than the gray and brown.

Had to pull the transmission a second time to replace with a different seal as this one leaks as soon as the transmission starts to warm up. This is likely because this seal is missing the "rubber lip" that the standard grey seal or the upgraded black viton has on the backside of the seal (look at the lower photo in the product picture). This one is is only painted like the output seal is. My tip to people replacing the seal: try to find the black viton seal. I got mine off ebay - that one works.

There are two kinds of these seals - the good ones, and the junk. These are the good ones.
