Marvel's Spider-Man Game Of The Year Edition (PS4)

This is a well made game. From the first time you web sling through New York to the end it never gets dull. In most open world games once fast travel is unlocked I use it as a preferred method of getting from a to b in most games but this I largely ignored it (bar getting the trophy). The story is good albeit somewhat predictable but there’s a lot of side missions and such to keep you occupied and new game plus so you can play through again with all your unlocks carrying over. Graphics are great and only downside of the game was the forced segments to use other characters but luckily these aren’t too hard. Highly recommend for marvel fans or fans of action open world games.

I can easily call this the best Spider-man game so far. The controls still have a few issues. It's sometimes hard to leave a wall once you hit it, at least not in the direction in which you want. Also the hotspot detection for point jump does not always do what one would except. Apart from that ... I had a very good time playing this and could not take long breaks :) I know they didn't want to include the symbiote suit, probably for storytelling reasons, but I would have liked to see the black suit resembling the symbiote suit which Black Cat made for spidey. I read the first Spidey comics when that suit was the most common one and I would have liked to see it.

Thought this was a good game. A lot to do and a lot of different gadgets and gameplay to get used to. I achieved a platinum trophy on this no problem but takes up quite a bit of time. Some of the gameplay can be a bit monotonous after a while but still a challenge and lots to do. Plays well and helps having the dlc codes included so you get to play the game in it’s entirety!

It's an alright game, but overrated for sure. The graphics are great, but the gameplay isn't much and the open world is filled with unfun time fillers and the interaction with the world feels like it isn't an open world game at all (generic npcs and random crimes). Im not a big comics fan so maybe that's something, but I played batman arkham series and it's on another level. The story and dialog is not that good and goofy. Also, the details of the world around is astounding but that doesn't save it in my opinion.

the base game has tones of content and I have still to play the DLC parts that come on the coupon. I am a bit annoyed that the DLC was not just on the disk but aside from that it's a good game. Lot's of Spider-man's villains are in this game but most near the end. After playing this I am going to get the Mile's game and the up coming Marvel's Spider-man 3 if they are as good as this ^^ so yeah, pretty good lol ^^
