No, you will have a slightly different result than dyeing on white fabric. It is always recommended to test first on a scrap piece of fabric to see if you get the results you seek before dyeing on your actual shirts.

Does this product work on a 70% polyester 30% cotton blend?

It will probably work. Different dyeing dry.
