A bit unconventional use but maybe this will help. My OptiPlex 5090 fits in both ways which is helpful because I dont want wires sticking out into the room but I also have to flip it sometimes and face the other side so its handy to be able to switch it around.

Instructions are quite clear -- the mount can be used for a wall mount, under desk mount, or attached to the VESA mount of a monitor. Even has a way to secure the power adapter or power brick to the mount. Well thought out product.

I got this mount to hold a small Dell 9020 optiplex computer and it worked absolutely perfectly to mount on the back of my monitor to keep my desk looking more tidy. It is very simple to install onto a monitor (can't speak to ease of install on anything else) but it did come with a good number of screws to mount it various ways. I'm very happy with how this frees up space and allows me to have a less cluttered setup. It comes with a small screw that goes into the back of the computer to keep it held onto the mount (in addition to the mount being screwed into your monitor), as well as cushion pads to install on the mount so that your computer isn't on straight metal. I'm very happy with it.
