Great reel! I used it for a week long ...
Great reel! I used it for a week long fishing trip in Alaska and it came through brilliantly. I pulled in 15 pink salmon (10-15 lbs each) and a 40lb halibut. The reel is solid, smooth, and durable. The drag can be set hard enough to stop a freight train while the oversize reel handle is sensitive enough to detect even the smallest nibble. It's one of the best reels I've ever owned and I expect years of dependable service out of this reel!

Great reel for the Money
Bought this reel to use pier fishing on the North Carolina Coast. The reel worked very well for this application and helped me catch more fish by being able to land them faster. I also do alot of striper fishing and plan to use the reel to free line live bait this spring. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Okuma Epixor Baitfeeder Spinning Reel
The reel arrived on time in the original manufacturer's box with all the accessories. It has excellent retrieval and drag setting. I use this reel in the estuaries and Mosquito Lagoon of east central Florida for sheephead, seatrout and red drum up to 10 lbs . Okuma lists the spool capacity at 120yds of #10 line. I get about 135yds of #10 Berkley Trilene XL clear line on the spool. The Baitfeeder is a great feature when using live bait. Only drawback I've experienced with this reel is that the Baitfeeder must be cleaned and lubricated about twice a year to keep it from rusting and seizing.

Low Quality on the Okuma Epixor
After using this reel for about five hours it became very hard to reel in as if the spinning part was jammed. Once I got it turning there was a constant rubbing sound--it looks as if the part that spins (the cylinder that holds the bail) is bent and rubbing against the part it surrounds.I paid $13 to send it back to Okuma and they did fix it so it does not jamb anymore, but still rubs and reels in very roughly--that roughness is very annoying to hear since it constantly reminds me what low quality it is.On a side note; I am pretty sure that Okuma makes the Cabela's Salt Striker reels which are much lower in price.

The Avenger model is just as good and cheaper!!
It's okay, but why spend the extra money for the Epixor model, when the Okuma Avenger ABF is just as good. I have the Okuma Epixor EB-50 ($63.66) and perfer my other Okuma models - Avenger ABF-30 ($39.61), Avenger ABF-40 ($45.69) and the Okuma Avenger ABF-50 ($46.25). I rate all the Okuma Avengers five star.

Great reel for the price
This is the 4th Okuma reel I've purchased and they have all been great reels, especially considering the price. Fished in the Hatteras, NC surf with this one. It cast nicely and operated flawlessly. It cranked smoothly and the baitfeeding lever tripped effortlessly. I paired it with a light surf rod for my teen-aged son. He loved it, my wife loved it, I loved it. And I can buy a whole lot of these for the price of high-end reels, especially when I don't have the opportunity put real high mileage on a reel.

This is a great reel for the price
This is a great reel for the price. Very nice to use. It is the first up-grade reel from Okuma I have purchased. It is noticeably smoother than the ABF model. I like the bait feeder feature a-lot. Most of the time I fish alone, and I don't have to be concerned about the fish running off with my rod and reel.

Great reel for my saltwater surf rod.
This reel is pretty good. It operates smoothly and seem to be well constructed. I only fish 5-6 times a year so for the price and the quality this is well worth it.
