Thankfully I read the comments of other reviewers and got the tip to flip the rubber gasket inside to keep from leaks. I did that upon purchase and it has worked wonderfully as a honey pot for our morning coffee! I love that it’s made of glass. Solid and pours wonderfully!

I’ve tried everything, but it always leaks on the table where I keep it. Very annoying and frustrating, as I don’t even seem to understand where the leaks come from. I’ve stopped using it, it’s now trash. UPDATE: After reviewing, I read another review that suggested reversing the position of the inner gasket plastic ring. I tried it, and the leaking stopped. There’s apparently a trick to placing the gasket which obviously wasn’t how it came from the factory. Place the gasket on the bottle and let the inward side face down and snugly on the bottle before screwing up the top. Simple change made all the difference. The leaks stopped. So, I’m reversing the stars to 5.

This is clearly a commercial-grade item, and it works as well as can be expected. I use it for locally-produced honey, which I figure is better for me than the stuff in squeeze bottles in the grocery store. It will drip—with honey, that’s inevitable. I’ve learned that you can minimize the drips by letting go of the thumb lever while still pouring. That cuts the flow off pretty cleanly. I bought a small flat-bottomed bowl for a couple of bucks. The dispenser sits in that, keeping any honey from dripping onto the table. Just rinse the outside of the dispenser with water every couple of weeks and you’ll be fine. Just make sure you don’t lose the white gasket when you open the box, because mine just tumbled out on the floor. Align it very carefully on the glass when refilling.

Great Honey Dispenser. This one is a little pricey, but is the best functioning dispenser I have had. I would buy this again and again if need arises.

If you use any honey/maple syrup etc you NEED this. The sliding mechanism is smooth and slices off the flow like a hot knife. So easy to use and refill. Don’t forget the gasket! It’s there for a reason. No drips at all. Wish id bought it sooner. This would be the perfect for the ATK rec that is no longer made. Worth every penny.

I like the glass. I use it for honey. It works fine. I have to learn the proper way to use it to keep it from dripping on the lid. It is not automatically stopping leaks. I am noticing a technique to use this. That is why I gave it 4 stars.
