My first car that had a remote was a 1997 Saturn SC2. The second was a 2006 Chevy Malibu. Both remotes had to be replaced a few years into it. The malibu ones lasted closer to 5 years. However, after a few years, the pictures on the buttons started to wear down, and the remote definitely looked used. Not a huge deal for remotes that were easily replaced and cheap. However, when I leased my 2013 Elantra GT, they were proximity remotes. Meaning I didn't need a key to get into the car at the start it up. I just needed the remote to be within four feet of my car. These remotes would be much more expensive to replace, so I wanted to protect them from water damage and provide some fall protection. I got a couple of leather ones from eBay that worked well. I used them for my Tucson I later bought. So I got about 7 years out of them. Not bad, but when I got my GMC Terrain, I needed to buy new ones. I decided this time, I wanted to try these because they provided 360' protection. The leather ones provided more impact protection but didn't provide as much water protection as these do. I figure since I never remove them from my purse (these are also proximity keys), I probably won't need as much fall protection. I probably don't need water protection either, but I did want to keep the remotes looking like new. These fit the bill. Since they fit perfectly, they are not easy to get on. If they made them easy to get on, they wouldn't fit perfectly. I tested the buttons from inside the house, with my car in the driveway, parked about 50 feet away, and they work just fine. They work even if I am not at the window. As a side note, the GM remotes work really well. When I had my Malibu, i could start my car in the parking garage across the street from the office. I'd be at the window, pointing the remote at my car across the street and a few levels down, and it would startup. Perfect for frigid days. Anyway, I like that these things fit perfectly and do not hinder the performance of the remote. The buttons push just fine and don't put pressure on the other buttons when I press a button. Meaning, when I push the unlock button, it doesn't put pressure on the panic button which could potentially set off the panic alarm. I have used these for a couple of months now, and it has not hindered the proximity feature either. Meaning I can still unlock the car, without taking it out of my purse. Defintley recommend.

Been using these for a few months now. Work great to protect the original fob. Adds a little bulk to the fob, but I really like that we can clearly distinguish the fobs (since each has its on driver seat setting). I wish we would have got these sooner (before our original fobs started wearing down at the corners after a year or so).

The product fit perfectly. It is very snug and provides good protection for the remote. The rubber does feel a little tacky but this gives a better grip for the remote. If you carry the remote in your pocket, because of the tacky nature of the design, it does tend to grab when trying to remove it but it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the product.

I own a gmc truck, so the pick for opening up the hatch does not match. To me that is the least of my problems. This works great for added protection, i guess. Yes, the material is rubber/silicone and i noticed an added bulk to the key fob. I keep the fob in my pocket so I have had no issues, but something to consider.

Fobs are expensive so I needed to protect them from other things in my pocket. These covers went on easy and look and fell great. One of the command indicators is not a perfect match, but its close enough for me. I will keep my truck for a long time , so I bought an extra set for future use.

It's hard to put on but after have it if I drop it I know it will keep me safe

Fits my 2018 GMC Terrain Key Fob like a glove. Perfect in every way, thickness, rubber and finish.It’s sad that the original remotes break after a few years, cheaply made. This will add longevity to your original remotes and protect them.Buy it before you need it!
