Excellent value for a home tool.
I'll admit that I did not use the included bits for any of the home projects I used the drill for. I only used my own premium masonry bits. I also didn't use it as a regular drill (by switching out of hammer drill mode), so I can't speak to its performance as a regular drill. I can say that when paired with quality masonry bits, it has more than enough power to quickly and cleanly drill 4"+ of aggregate concrete, bricks, cinderblock, and stones. I did several home projects that needed all that drilled and it managed it like the material wasn't even there. The blow mold case is a very high quality plastic that can survive falling, drops, and kicks without issue. Everything stays put inside, and it has a sealed steel bar for a hinge so it won't fall apart after a few openings and closings. The included bits seem ok, and it's nice to have a selection of bits for wood/plastic, metal, and masonry tasks. I just didn't try them. The only real complaint I have is the handle. Most other removable handles I've used on other drills go on and off MUCH easier. This one is a bit to tight and you do tend to struggle a bit more than is needed. Something I hope that Skill address in a revised model.

Great power for little money
I needed a hammer drill to be able to anchor some wood into concrete. I previously had a cordless DeWalt hammer drill, and many years ago used it to anchor a pergola to my patio. The process of drilling the holes was very difficult, and I honestly was not looking forward to it again! Unfortunately that drill had since died, so I needed a new one. Not wanting to spend a ton of money, I decided to give this corded drill a shot, and WOW did it deliver! It drilled holes into the concrete like it was butter. It also came with a great accessory pack with multiple drill & driver bits. Pros: - Worked great - made drilling into the concreate very easy. - Added accessory kit was a great value. - Corded, so no need to worry about losing battery power. Cons: - Included masonry bit (at least the 5/32 size) was not great quality - I would up purchasing a different bit that worked better Overall, I highly recommend this hammer drill.

Awesome kit, but some minor flaws
Works almost as well as my SDS on concrete and all the attachments work well and are quality made. 2 minor issues; 1. No variable speed setting, just a sensitive trigger. For things like mixing mortar, etc it makes it very difficult to control 2. Bits are difficult to get in or out of the molded spots. Especially sharp drill bits. Very good for the price though

This has most everything you need
I have not used this yet, but I'm very familiar with Skil products. I'm so excited to try it out, so I gave this 5 stars based on the name brand, and most everything I need wrapped up in this nice, hard cover, well made case. It is a bit heavy for me, because I'm used to battery drills. But, I'll handle it or buy another battery drill and use which ever one suits my need at the time. Ok, time out. I'm going to give this a whirl and take a video. Then update this review. Brb ok, you can see the video and hear my one problem, so no need to address it here. It has a great grip, the bits are actually labeled so you pock the right one for the job. The bit held tightly in place, good power, easy to use and I think this is going to be a much better fit than the last two battery operated, no name drills that I bought. Ì do really like this case. The other two came with a case, but you had to play musical chairs to get everything back in right. I did struggle with getting the bit out, but that is because it is new and fits tightly right now. Plus, I have arthritis in my hands, so my grip and strength are not up to par. Over all, I'd recommend this drill. ****UPDATE SEPT. 5, 2024**** since my 1st post, I have used this drill several times. It is great! A bit heavy for me but I manage well. I love all of the bits included. On average, they provided everything you need for any project, and I mean everything! Naturally, there are going to be times you'll need a more specialized bit for that DIY project, but you won't need another drill. It's a work horse. My brother, ( he is a master plumber ) used it once and liked it a lot. I doubt I'll use the hammer driven feature much, but it worked as it should when i needed it. I have since taken a wood working class and learned that I was using my drills wrong I HATE when that happens. ( not using the drill wrong, but having to admit i was wwwwrrrrong, as the Fonz would say ) Ty, Skilz, for making great products!

16 holes into aggregate concrete with no issues
I needed to mount a pergola into my concrete but it was aggregate, and I wasn't sure how to go about drilling in. Saw that someone had used the 7.0 amp version to drill in and decided the 7.5 Amp would be a safe bet. Also picked up a Dewalt masonry carbide tip (note - get two). The drill was smaller than I expected, but performed admirably. Each hole took about ten seconds to drill in 4 inches. The carbide tip wore out so I had to ream each hole again afterwards with a fresh tip to get the proper diameter channel in which to screw my concrete anchors. 100% worth the cost. I tried to ream the holes with my Ryobi impact drill and that jammed immediately. I used the hammer drill setting and made sure to use heavy duty extension cables as the draw was pretty significant. I did not wait to let the drill cool down (it wasn't terribly warm) and did all 16 holes within quick succession.

I wanted to drill a 6 inch hole using a hole saw bit. My 20V Cordless Dewalt drill started jamming and the kickback almost damaged my wrist. I had given away my heavy duty corded drill before so I had to get a new one. I always respected the Skil brand that I grew up with and was happy to see it was still around, albeit as a secondary label. At $100 Can there was not much to lose. To my surprise, the drill is exactly what I expected. It is well balanced in the hand, packs a lot of torque and cut the 6 inch hole like butter. The extra handle works very well. It mounts easily and has teeth in its collar which makes it grip tightly onto the throat of the drill. The variable speed trigger is excellent. Reversing is very useful in dislodging heavy stock waste. The hammer feature is smooth and cuts masonry like nothing. This is an excellent powerful drill at a great price. I would buy it again over any of the other big name brands. It is made in China but what isn't these days! Skil had been bought by a Chinese company and I am glad they kept the quality and features intact so far.

Le dí poco uso, pensé que resistiría la carga de trabajo, pero, no. Por tanto no lo devolví, pero ya no lo uso, pienso regalarlo a quien le pueda dar un uso casero.

This drill is the best I have ever owned. I drilled at least 20 holes in concrete the day I got it and it worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone that needs a good hammer drill.
