What U would expect from a major brand weld stick.

Was okay just not a fan of 7018 would buy it again though if I needed them.

I bought these and then spent maybe $100 making PVC tubes out of 1.5" pipe with caps and scew caps to individually seal the rods in easy-to-use packages to prevent moisture absorption. I have used them all over my farm, welding on tractors and trailers, snow plows and bush hogs, to making structural supports out of rebar and plate for barn footings. Welds are strong and look as good as my ability can perform. When the welds do fail it is always my fault, usually abusing it with my tractor. Don't understand the comments about slag as I chip it off easily and then wire-wheel to remove all traces. For the price, it can't be beat. I'm over halfway through my purchase in 2015 and I would compare these to any other 7018 rod I've ever used.

Welding rod runs good like it should. The nice part is that it is pack very well to protect the flux from being damaged. Update: I still like the welding rod. In fact I just reordered 10lbs more. However, I have noticed that it leaves more splatter than usual for a low hydrogen rod with a ceramic flux. But, it does have good penetration and runs well.

I am new to welding and teaching myself. I am learning with 7018 rods. I feel the price for the quality and quality is really good compared to the local welding shop prices for the same quantity. They perform well. If you are familiar with 7018 rods then you know the challenges of welding with them. But once you get the Arc started it's a very nice performing rod. Will definitely be buying more of blue demons welding electrodes in the future.

Would not arc or if they did it was very sporadic, thought it was a welder issue till I used my hobart Rods and they arced no problem,
