tough, light for carry into the field
When you have to march deep into the woods and need some rope, you want something light but strong and not bulky--this reel is just what I needed. I don't know how long nylon will last outdoors, but with this quantity and low price I can bring it back with me every year.

you'll have to just cut a new length cause the old stuff will be pretty much useless
If you're buying this for a tent and plan on cutting a bit off the spool to use for guide ropes, be advised that the orange nylon casing will immediately come off from the inner white cord at which point, especially if it rains during the night, you'll have to just cut a new length cause the old stuff will be pretty much useless. If you're planning on using the whole 50 feet, it's probably fine. Just don't plan on cutting this.

serves its purpose
i used this a when i traveled for a clothes line, to hang my mosquito net, and other odds and ends things. It stayed in tact and is ready for more use when I travel more!
