ALGOMA n Wooden Arc Frame Hammock, Natural

This hammock and stand is exactly what I had hoped for. It took me awhile to decide which one to buy as there are many similar hammocks to choose from. The hammock arrived with all the pieces well packed, instructions and hardware all nicely packaged as well - it is very heavy and I needed a hand-truck to move the package from the front porch to the backyard. It took about 20 minutes to put it together. It can be assembled by one person easily, although it is pretty heavy, so it's nice to have a second person to help move it. It is very sturdy and well constructed, so it works on slightly uneven ground. I did not get much of the creaking sound that it says happens when you first use it. The hammock itself is also very well-crafted. At first the woven part seemed like it might not be as strong as I had hoped, but it is actually really strong and super comfortable. The pillow is a nice little extra feature. Perfect for a little nap in the backyard. Very beautiful and sturdy design.The only thing is that I would not try to put two people in this hammock unless they are small. I doesn't seem quite big enough for that.

This Hammock has exceeded all of our expectations. The wood is stained very well and super sturdy also it is not solid chunks, but each piece is 6 separate pieces glued together very well. It is so easy to put this together, and it had all of the bolts, washers, and nuts in a nice canvas bag. The instructions were very easy to follow, and I really did not need them as you can tell from the photo where everything goes. All in all it took 10 minutes to assemble. The photos on amazon do not do this hammock justice so I have attached my own with my beautiful 5 foot 4 wife so you all can get a good size comparison. As well as one of myself to show it will defiantly hold 250 lbs with ease. I highly recommend this hammock to anyone who is looking for decent wooden hammock. Delivery only took 3 days from when we purchased and it was free you just cant beat that when other hammocks require a 80 dollar shipping fee. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will respond asap.

The hammock arrived missing some parts but the vendor provided replacements upon request. We're enjoying the hammock.Update: Just after a week and a half, wood started to split in multiple areas. Although the original shipment came in two boxes, I was only supplied with one shipping label. UPS would not accept 2 boxes, even if they were taped together. After dragging this to the UPS store, I needed to aquire a larger box to pack everything in one box for the return to proceed. A refund was issued quickly.

PLEASE DO NOT waste your money this garbage. I live in Miss. and yes this stays out all the time. I bought a new hammock for and I would love to use it but I'm a disabled Vet. and it hurts to try to get on it, so my wife use's it, when I went to put the new hammock on I noticed that It is loaded with crack's so bad/ splitting and de-laminating, and as a Cabinet maker laminated wood I thought would be stronger.I've use engineered/laminated rafters/lumber in construction and they far more superior than one solid 2X,so I thought this would to, so,so so, wrong. I bought it Feb. 27, 2015. So a year and not even 2 months. GARBAGEThis is what you need to do go ahead and by it start a fire and put it in it. as that is what is going to happen with this.

So fat, this hammock has been an excellent purchase for our family. It arrived quickly (thanks Prime!) and the box was not unwieldy for an item of this size.I am not the most handy person in the world -- by far -- but assembly was pretty easy. The instructions were fairly intuitive. I used a socket wrench rather than the encoded wrench for some pieces, gave me a tighter fit.The hammock looks beautiful. We like modern/contemporary furniture and this definitely fits our aesthetic.I am a bigger guy (260-270 lbs) and so far the hammock feels sturdy. We did have to move the chain all the way to the top setting in order to not drag on the ground when laying down, but with that it is quite comfortable for lounging and napping.One of our more fulfilling Amazon purchases. Highly recommend.

I bought two of these, and between the two orders I had enough pieces for one. Both were missing tools, especially washers. Amazon made it very easy to return the one missing the most, but both boxes were so incredibly damaged upon arrival I'm not certain the returned box will make it back in one piece! The hammock frame was pretty easy for a single person to put together, except the part where you have to get one long screw through 3 pieces of wood-- since they didn't line up perfectly I had to use a rubber hammer. It looks beautiful once together, but the reviews saying it creaks like crazy were telling the truth. It sounds like it's about to fall apart, but according to the other reviews this never really happens. I'll write again in a few months to report how it's dealt with the weather, so far I'm optimistic given the wood stain and hardy hammock string appearance.

Overall this is a good value. The materials are solid and it went together fairly quickly without a lot of effort. I was missing 4 washers which I found irritating, but I was able to locate a few in my workshop. I did creak a little when I got on it. I weigh about 170lbs so I don't think I am testing the limits of it's abilities. It could be just breaking in. I can't speak to the duribility just yet, so I'll have to see what kind of shape this is in after a few months, but overall it seems prety sturdy.

Well I must say, after 6 months this is easily one of my favorite Amazon purchases..(and I but a lot of stuff) it’s sturdy, comfortable as hell, setup is like a 4 out of ten and just really really nice to have inside and outside.. (I moved it in when it started getting cold) I love it.. truly. And I’m 270 pounds with a 175lb girlfriend. It’ll “creek”.... but it ain’t going nooooooo where!!!!! But now and thank yourself later!!
