Great quality and value.
Charger arrived in new packaging and works great with my portable CD player and in my car outlet. I purchased it to listen to books on tape when we travel.

First order apparently got lost in the holiday shipping shuffle - it never showed up. Upbright basically said "Oh,well". These are cheap, so I ordered another one and doubled the cost. That item did indeed arrive whole and sound. Thing is, it did not go with the Insignia CD player that it purports to be designed for. They wanted to give me a $15 gift card or something so that I wouldn't publish anything negative about them. Not worth the hassle. I'm done with them.

worth the money if you don't have a CD player in car
So we bought another used car, and this one had no cd player. Well I still had my old Sony Walkman from years back, and it worked very well through the AUX unit in the car radio. The only thing is that I had to buy new batteries every few days, so that was not cool. Then I stumbled across this device, and all my problems were solved...except where to store my old cd/dvd collection, and what to do during hot Summer weather with cd's in the car? Oh well, that's another thing to solve, this device was great for my problem.

Works great with Insignia portable CD player
Works great with Insignia portable CD player. As you know most new car don't have CD players anymore. This powers the CD well for those look trips with books on CD without having to change batteries every few hours.

Although advertised to be used with the Insignia player it's a waste of money (batteries would be a better buy)!
While powering the CD player it causes a high-pitch wine through the speakers which distracts from the audio. The only way to use it is to charge the player while listening to other devices and then use the player on batteries.

you have to buy a music service if you want to hear your favorites without commercials or other similar genre artists that if you did like you would have bought the disc)
Is what it says it is. Need it to scrunch together a CD player for my wife's new compact/ cross-over SUV as they are no longer putting CD players in vehicles (think about it folks... you have to buy a music service if you want to hear your favorites without commercials or other similar genre artists that if you did like you would have bought the disc).
