I tried my best the result was unsatisfactory-updated
Update - the seller contacted me and offered a free replacement with some strongest magnetic knobs. I really appreciated their effort, so I am giving them a five star review for customer satisfaction. After receiving the product, and still under the COVID 19 shelter-in-place order, I decided to give the green knob version a try. These green knobs definitely worked better than the blue knobs version I bought. The outside piece would follow the inside piece and not dropping. I started a self training session by cleaning a deck patio window I have access on both sides, and followed the instructions to spray windex liberally on both sides of the window, then, I used the rubber piece only, the tool cleaned well, all corner pieces would need a second try but all worked fine. The challenge came to clean my 15 ft tall windows which is on a 60 ft tall exterior wall. So the inside is accessible by ladder to 15 ft, and outside would have no ladder access at all because it was too tall. Therefore, I had no way to spray windex on the exterior, if I could, I probably just used my regular window squeegee. These windows came with a small opening at the bottom so I would use this landing area to launch the Green Knob Gliders. I had to use the microfiber towels came with the unit, soaked them wet and started the cleaning job. It was a slow and tedious process because if your windows were dirty like mine, these microfiber towels got dirty easily, I had to retrieve them several times, wash them, re-spray windex on them, and re-launch the glider. After the 4th run, the windows exterior start to show some shining cleanness. Though no magic, just hard labor, all worked, now I can slowly working on rest of the tall windows. BTW, the safety string came with the unit was too short, so I extend it. -------Following were for the blue knob glider review-------------------------------------------- I bought this thing with high hopes, after watching the seller videos many time. I assumed I mastered the skills by practicing. In reality this device falls off easily when you try to clean at a minimal speed, if I clean very slow it does not fall but leaves soap marks. Now my cleaned window looked 10 times worse than before. I bought the D2 version for my double pane 0.5 inch glass window.

Works but there is a learning curve
This tool is a great idea in theory but not as great in practice. I used it for the first time today and it does work but takes patience and practice. Use the tether string - YOU WILL DROP THE OUTSIDE MAGNET. Buy a package of microfiber cloths and attach the cloth to the outside magnet with safety pins so you don't have to spend time picking the cloths up off the ground when you're finished. The 2 cloths in the package are great but not enough for dirty windows. This tool provides a solution that no other tool has so I'll keep it. Just have to hope I get better at using it.

Keeps Falling Off
This is well-made but keeps falling off our windows. We changed the suction settings many times but found that the suction was either too strong and prevented the unit moving, or was too weak and resulted in the unit keeping falling off. We invested several hours in trying to make this work but ultimately gave up and returned it. It is a quality item that perhaps is just not suited for our situation.

Works but look at carefully at your windows before you buy
I live on the third floor of an apartment building in which the upper pane of each window is fixed and about 30 inches square. I didn't think before I purchased the item that I wouldn't be able to get the gizmo onto the upper pane. So far, I can only clean the lower pane. I'll have to put my thinking cap and ask around on how to get the apparatus to the upper pane (if anyone from Tyroler is reading this and has an idea how to accomplish this, please let me know). Otherwise, the gizmo is well built, well thought out and will do the job once you practice. With any "alternative mousetrap" product like this, knowing what the purchaser may be up against in solving his or her problem, I would expect that the company would be helpful with ideas on how to overcome those problems. Had they done so through videos or how-tos on on the web site, I'd be much more enthusiastic about it. A squeegee on a long stick would have been much cheaper and effective.

Worked well in a high-rise
Surprised on how well this worked. Needed more towels and the ones they sell are sold out. But it was super easy to do and I did it in a high-rise in NYC without concern. The string could have been a little longer but got wife to hold hand out incase it fell (which it did twice) but no biggie. I'm happy and my windows are clean!

Works well - fantastic idea!
This thing is pretty cool! Like other reviewers have said, it takes a little practice to get your technique down. Since I live on the 4th floor of a condo building, I started off on the sliding glass door to my balcony for practice. I'm finding there are three main things to do to make this work well - make sure to saturate the window well so your blades won't skip along (which is usually due to dry spots, or sometimes uneven tension of the magnets...which you can adjust), adjust your magnets strength as needed, and take your time. Sometimes a 2nd pass will help take care of streaks or spots you missed, if your windows are particularly dirty (wipe down blades in between). Also, the shammies will help a little with cleaning up some light streaking. As someone else mentioned, when connecting the two halves of the magnetic window cleaner, put one half on the inside of the window and the other half on the outside of the window APART from each other, then slide them together to avoid impact to the glass. I actually found this gadget kinda fun to use. So far, it's worth the money I spent. :)

Works well but there is a little learning curve
My directions were all in inches but the measuring tool was metric but just had to do some conversion. My windows are 9/16" thick. I have windows that are old and because of compression from my log home are impossible to remove from the frames. Additionally, the screens are impossible to remove also. Anyway, I was able to us lots of window spray on both the inside of the window and outside. You must keep both sides wet in order to side the device to clean. After getting everything wet and the scrubber in place between the window and screen, it was a little bit of a learning curve to scrub all the dirty and scale off the window. I had the magnets at their strongest setting and they would occasionally fall off if I wasn't careful. The string helps to recovery the outside cleaner but also has to be kept from getting caught and pulling the outside cleaner off the inside magnet. I wish the cleaner had an offset at one end so that I could slide it next to the locks but be behind them on the outside. I'd say the windows were about 95% clean when I was done and cleaner than they have been since I bought the house over seven years ago.

Ease of use is anything but easy
Tried this on double glazed windows, even on max setting the magnet kept releasing. There is no easy way to attach this to an upper window if the bottom half of the window is not removable. It really doesn’t do a good job on corners, impossible to do corners. The quality of the product is good, hence the higher price tag but for me ease of use was a deal breaker. Believe me I tried to get this to work, I wanted it to work (I hate ladders) but alas no.
