Great pedal for livening up your clean
I originally purchased this pedal to keep on with my "Flashback" delay pedal while I did swells and other ambient sounds. It is a great deal for what you get. However, it is not as good at making ambiance as a "Cloud 9" or a "Corona Chorus". The price however, is simply too good to pass up if you have never owned a chorus pedal before. It is definitely professional grade. However discrete it may be, it will liven up your cleans for a warm solo or a lighthearted clean rhythm. I plan on purchasing another chorus pedal down the road, but I am currently very happy with this pedal and will always keep it on one of my boards. Its built like a tank and people know you have good taste when they see this guy on your board. Very small foot print, and there is definitely a wide range of options for your sound with the five knobs. Great decision to buy regardless. Its very musical.

Great chorus - used by famous players for decades
Great chorus sounds and good range of controls. Price is well below boutique models, which in many cases are just trying to sound like what this thing has been delivering for decades. I selected this over other brands because of how it nails sounds both clean (plays well with my compressor, delays, reverb, or alone) and dirty (IMHO this is what really sets it apart). Also, durable and consistent.

A must have for your board
One of the 5 classic simple chorus pedals plus the price and MXR build quality makes this a must have for any board. Whether you crank it for that 80s effect or just use a little to thicken up the signal chain it's always a good choice. The easy knobs and durability make it stand out against "fancier" ones in my opinion

Not great, but very good.
This is a solid chorus pedal with nice control options. You can dial in a subtle effect or pipe out watery sounding craziness. I've heard very expensive chorus pedals that both do and don't sound better than this one. If you're in the market for a solid pedal without breaking the bank you would be hard pressed to find another option that's significantly better. I like this pedal, but I don't love it. It's good enough to get the job done and for the price I'm happy enough with it that I'm not going to keep shopping.

Pedal Before the Amp
I initially gave this pedal a 2 star because when you put it into the fx loop, the volume goes down significantly. Contrary to common wisdom, this modulation pedal works much better before gain or distortion. Not only the volume won't go down, but the headroom and overall quality will improve dramatically. I wonder if it's because analog pedals were designed before fx loop became a thing. Before I had my eyes set on this pedal I had sampled many chorus pedals, analog or digital. I eventually went with this one because this gives you the tone your "guitar heroes" once used. You almost can't put "organic sounding" and "chorus pedal" in the same sentence, but with the MXR you can. Perhaps if you are an ambient guitar player this is not a great option, but otherwise, this is likely the best sounding chorus pedal out there.

I still don’t know everything this box can do
I spilled a drink on my MXR Micro Chorus and blew it out, and it turned out to be a great thing. Because I never really knew what a legit chorus pedal could do for my sound. The Micro is SO limited, I never really used it because the only available settings were too pronounced. With the Analog, I can get sounds that are subtle and give me just the right amount of color to differentiate one song from another. Or one lead from another. Or whatever the hell I want. The range of options is truly unbelievable, and the tone/sound/feel makes this one of the best pedals i’ve Ever bought.

Broaden Your Sound Without Breaking The Bank!
First things first; Personal preference is a major factor in any piece of musical equipment and I believe there is no one size fits all. Your amp especially and your guitar (mainly its pickups) will transform whatever your adding to it into its own unique sound. That being said, the main reason I enjoy this pedal so much is its great sound quality and its wide control range. You can go from light backing to maxed out chorus that's almost too crazy. Experimentation is key with any effects pedal but I was surprised how quickly you can map out several custom settings to suit your needs. Personally I enjoy the analog stuff. I find they have a tried and tested sound that stays true to your equipment. That's why I think its a great chorus pedal! Jam on everyone!

Bought this to go on my pedalboard after my old chorus pedal decided to give up. I needed a purely analogue one as everything on the board is analogue and is used solely with a valve amp to keep it all properly old school. Has a nice chorus effect that can be dialled up to unusble warbles, but for me its just to add a sublte depth to my sound and is a 'pementantly on' staple of my set up, so also wanted something that will last under constant use. As other reviewers have mentioned, its built like a tank so no fear of it getting damaged like a plastic pedal has the potential to. As for how long it will last, only time will tell but I will update my review if I ever need to buy another chorus pedal to replace it. Nice sound (and quiet for bucket brigade analogue) and solidly built. The only thing I didnt like was registering it on the website to activate the warranty. The process demanded far too much personal information that wasnt required for a warranty so I have left it unactivated and when I get a spare minute I will contact Dunlop cutomer services to see if I can activate the warranty without giving up my postal address, email address, mobile telephone number, etc. etc. which seemed more geared towards marketing than warranty activation, when date/proof of purchase and an email address would suffice. I, like a lot of people, am inundated with communication I neither want or need and didnt want another barrage of spam mail, emails, phone texts, etc. as punishment for buying a pedal, in the attempt to sell me more stuff.

I have been using this for a month now, works great. Good packaging, tone sounds juicy and customisable. Great choice for a chorus pedal.

I use this stand alone and also in conjunction with an MXR 5150 EVH overdrive, and its a sweet combo
