AEOLOS Leather Gymnastics Hand Grips-Great for Gymnastics,Pull up,Weight Lifting,Kettlebells and Cross Training

Normally I use gloves in the gym. Say what you want, buy the ladies like softer hands over hands full of calluses. Some bars have very aggressive knurling. Those bars tend to tear my hands to shreds. Thus, I wear gloves. Even over time, the gloves get pretty torn up. And no matter how much padding, my hands still get torn up a bit. After some research, I found these gloves. Weirdest looking things I have ever seen. But they made sense, so I bought them. Best decision ever! It takes 3-5 workout session for these to be broken in. They are a bit stiff and cumbersome at first. But after a few days, they soften right up. The leather protects my hands way more than any gloves I've ever had. I think the reason for this is that they are open. You're hands no sweat like they do in gloves. So your skin isn't as damp and prone to damage like they are enclosed in traditional gloves. If I'm using ropes, or doing legs, its super simple to slide your finger out and even get more air. They just hand on your wrist for when you need them again. The quality seems excellent and I've had these for about a year now. They work great and I'd recommend these to anyone!

Just completed the Crossfit 2020 OPEN with standard gym gloves when I realized I need to graduate to grips. I looked around to see what the Pros were using, googled a few brand names and watched a YouTube video before selecting grips from one of your well known competitors. The product arrived and I threw it in my gym bag with the intent on breaking them in. When I got to the gym, I was confused on how to put them on. When I finally figured it out, they just didn't "feel right" (May have been the wrong size) and the leather was on the thin side. I asked my coach about my grips when I noticed his. He was wearing the AEOLOS brand. I was immediately drawn to the thick wrist strap. Mine had something the size of a tight rope....lol I asked him about his grips and he took one off and let me examine it: Thicker leather, better fit, and a solid strap. I was sold. I got the information from him and placed an order. The Product arrived on time and as advertised. When I pulled the grips out of the package and put them on it was a perfect fit. The leather was thick and those solid straps and Velcro made your product a winner. My only regret is not purchasing AEOLOS first..... especially since I forked out $45 for the Pro Endorsed Widely Known Brand. AEOLOS is a STEAL under $20. Great Product

Love the price, comfort, leather and overall design of these....BUT the previous design had an extra 'X' of stitching holding the palm leather to the wrist strap. These do not. It's just a rectangle of stitching around the velcro and through the palm leather. That is where they fail (in my experience). If these had that extra stitching they would be nearly indestructible and 6 stars.

UPDATE 2: I have to admit, this company is honestly amazing. I first complained about my first pair of wrist grips breaking within days of buying them. They sent me a new pair. I wrote a new review and realized I ordered the wrong size and the black color stained my hands. Unexpectedly, Aeolos sent me a different pair in the correct size. I will admit, my mind about this company has changed. They really care about their customers. It isn’t about making an easy buck. For them, it’s about customer satisfaction. That is somethings hard to find these days. Bravo! Not only are my new hand grips better, my expectations for this company have gone through the roof. If you’re looking to order anything through them, I highly suggest it. UPDATE: The company read my original review about the grips ripping. They sent me a replacement. I finally used them for the first time and they work well. I ordered the black ones. They do tend to stain your hands if you sweat. So if you plan to order these, I would go with a lighter color. Also make sure to size yours just right. I ordered a small and after using these grips, I think I may be an XS. But the small works just fine. They crunch up a little bit with weights in your hands. But overall, these second set of grips have not ripped. I’ve been using them for almost a week now. If you’re looking for something to help with grips and preventing callouses on your hands, I would try these out. They’re reasonably priced and so far, work well. —————- ORIGIN POST: I was super excited for this product. I lift weights almost every day and wanted to try and prevent more calluses on my palms. But these hand grips ripped the second time I used them. They are now hanging by threads and I’m slightly upset I ordered them because now I have to order new ones.

Measured my hand according to the pic on the listing and was dead center “medium.” While the palm covering strap was the right length (this being the measurement you use to choose a size), all of the other dimensions were far too small. I was almost not able to get my fingers through the holes, and it felt like my middle finger might stay stuck. There are two wrist elements: a suede wrist strap that Velcros together, and then a stretchy wrap that goes around on top of that. The suede strap only barely gets around my wrist, holding on by just a tiny bit of Velcro. To make matters worse, that leaves the scratchy plastic part of the Velcro pushed into your skin. Unfortunately returning these. Two stars because the materials and sewing seem high quality and I think they were exactly what I was looking for, other than the fact that they just didn’t fit. I don’t think I’ll try the larger size though, since the palm cover would then be too large probably. Perhaps these are intended for women only, and I just missed that bit on the listing or something. FWIW, I do not have particularly big wrists or fingers or anything. UPDATED REVIEW: So, as explained above, I measured my hand and bought the size indicated by the results, but they just didn't fit my hands well. I initiated the return, and the company contacted me immediately, encouraging me to try to next size up. I responded and said thanks, but no thanks, since I had already bought some other pair from my local gym. They ignored this and sent me the next size up anyway. [Review of the LARGE: my fingers still barely fit through the holes, but I imagine they will stretch or whatever a little over time to be more comfortable. But, as I suspected, the palm cover itself is now too long, so I have excess leather in my palm, and it doesn't sit well in my hand. I tried moving the wrist wrap part down my arm a little but it just came back up. Not gonna work out for me, unfortunately. The velcro issue is resolved by the bigger size.] After they ignored my email response, I figured I wouldn't waste my time emailing them again. But in the week or two since I responded to their first email, they have emailed me THIRTEEN TIMES. They also sent me ANOTHER pair of straps that are black and have a more substantial wrist wrap component. They seem okay, but at this point they are the THIRD pair of these I have in my possession. (also, the black dye did come off onto my hand a little bit, but I expect that goes away after a few wears). I am adding a star to my original review in the hopes that they will stop harassing me and filling my inbox with weird passive aggressive comments about how busy I must be, and how they "expect me" to take the the time to come on here and re-review the product. I mean, I guess my most honest review is: this product uses quality materials and seems like it is well made. If it fits your hand, you'll probably love it. Plus, the company will apparently insist on sending you a replacement if it doesn't fit, or if you aren't satisfied.

These grips work very well for me. The extra small fit is fantastic as I have very small hands and wrists but these can adjust a lot. The leather is soft, moveable and protective. Easy to use and adjust. The grip is good. I don’t have a fear of falling off the bar. It is good for all kinds of CrossFit use- pull-ups, rings, and power cleans as your wrists are supported. I like that the color is black and brown.

Heavy-duty protective gloves for leather work and various creative art projects I do using long sharp needles. My old glove in pix were worn out as you can see. I was very happy to find a replacement. The price seemed a little high since I only needed one glove, but now I have a backup. These are extremely well-made. The leather is thick but not too thick so as to interfere w/ dexterity.

I have been using this for a month, at least 3x a week. Unfortunately they slip at the Monkey Bar (when doing pull-ups, toes to bar, etc.). I read the reviews and bought them cause people is saying how good the grips are. Didn't worked for me, so sad cause i had great expectations. The customer service is good, i made a question about the different models and was answered very quick. The fit is good.
