Product Description This 2-disc set features 10 all new Hannah Montana songs from the #1-rated Disney Channel series, as well as a 2nd CD including 10 brand-new original songs by Miley Cyrus! Review Tweens aren't often heralded for their good judgment and excellent taste (Heelys--hello), but if any young starlet can redeem them, it's Hannah Montana. On this, the second soundtrack from the Disney Channel series, Miley Cyrus takes her cues from her TV alter ego, who has an alter ego of her own: Disc 1 features Miley as Hannah, hair-tossing pop princess by weekend, likable schoolgirl by weekday (see "Old Blue Jeans" and "True Friends" to get a sense of each episode's un-cloying sweetness). But disc 2 is the start of something new, as her friends over on the High School Musical set might say: Miley sings strictly as her spunky, truth-telling self. This yields a number of pepped-up pop tracks bound to vibrate through the walls of pink bedrooms everywhere--"See You Again" is a boy-centric song instantly relatable to anyone who's ever been in seventh grade and suffered a bout of bashfulness, "East Northumberland High" puts a punk spin on an I'm-just-not-into-you tale, and "Clear" bounces on a reggae beat while canceling any doubt about our heroine's ability to stand up for herself. Like Hannah before her, Miley makes the best of both worlds--this well-worth-it set, by turns rockin' and reflective, is a masterful example. --Tammy La Gorce --desertcart Editorial ReviewThis is a young girl with quite a voice. My daughter (10) and her friends know every song by heart. Personally, I love the GNO (Girls Night Out) song best. Good Rock and Roll beat without heavy metal. Obviously Miley is a CW crossover hit as well. Sorry gal, this girl's going to be around for a LONNNNGGGGG time. She's got talent and has everything working for her: good backing by Disney, great parents, music and entertainment contacts and simply put her TALENT. For such a young kid, she's amazingly balanced. --desertcart user reviewThe first cd of this is a soundtrack to the TV show, the second isn't, so people are saying the first cd is Hannah's and the second is Miley's though we all know that they are one person. --desertcart user review Review: My favorite album out of Hannah Montana soundtracks - Looking back at this album 13 years later, it seems like the music from this album is from a different planet. To many of the younger generations (and old haha), they're often surprised about how dramatically different music is from 2005-2011 is so different from the hits they grew up with. I feel some of the younger gens might be quite shocked that the past gens were listening to dramatically different music as compared to now and how pop-rock based music was one time popular! In my opinion, it seems music (at the time this review was written) that is popular is either "indie/synth-pop/edgy" or "trap/rap". IMHO, they tend to have the most mediocre lyrics and addition to mediocre music production. I think this in part to most people having that "I want it NOW!" mentality and how they have their media now instead of waiting and thus, producers have given up on making something decent. But anyways, going back to the album, as mentioned by the other viewers before, this album showcases the two sides of Miley. Disc 1 is basically similar to Hannah Montana 1 but more pop punk/synthpop/pop rock based. "Meet Miley Cyrus" (Disc 2) as the name suggest, gives us an introduction to what is to come for Miss Cyrus. On this side, it's a bit of an older audience as compared to the side 1. Fun facts, if you look closely, you see that the 2 discs are actually produced by two different labels! (Disc 1 = Disney Records & Disc 2 = Hollywood Records) and also these (and a lot of Disney discs) tend to follow the Blue Book Standard/"CD Audio+" which means these disc will have both an audio and data layer on the disc. A normal CD player will just ignore the data layer and simply play the audio layer unlike a computer where it could interpret both. Disc 1: We Got The Party = 10.0 (A very good "introduction like" tune to the album! It hypes up the listener for songs coming next on the album. It makes them have a good mood) Nobody's Perfect = 11.0 (Another fantastic/addicting tune, it talks about how we all make mistakes and that we should never give up!) Makes Some Noise = 8.5 (Not my favorite tune but I do like the message) Rock Star = 11.0 (THIS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! I like how it combines pop-punk with synth-pop with a layer of easy to understand lyrics (although to some people, it seem corny)) Old Blue Jeans = 10.0 (I really love the chorus on this one!) Life's What You Make It = 11.0 (Another favorite! It sounds like Rock Star/Old Blue Jeans mixed together) One In A Million = 9.0 (Interesting ballad and similar to Make Some Noise) Bigger Than Us = 9.5 (Very cute song) You and Me Together 10.0 (Another cute/cheesy/girly song. The chorus on here is very interesting, it seems like you can hear the background vocals better than Hannah (making it seem like there are 2 artists singing this). Fun fact, the background vocalist also sang for Bratz as well) True Friend = 9.5 (*Similar to the last one* this one talks about the importance of friendship!) Disc 2: (This side is completely different as compared to the other side. You can tell by her voice) See You Again = 10.0 (I like the fact she did the majority of the writing to this) East Northumberland High = 11.0 (This my favorite song on this album! Very interesting that the lyrics on this was written by a high schooler from Canada) Let's Dance = 9.5 (Very interesting mix of Spanish inspired music and modern "bass booming music". I like how she lists the musical elements she needs for this song haha ) G.N.O = 9.5 (A funny song. It talks about how she and her gals don't need the guys to live. (The lyrics might be cringy to some people lol)) Right Here = 9 (I like the progression. Talks about she'll always be there whenever one needs her ) As I Am = 9 (Similar progression to the last one) Start It Over = 10.0 (Most memorable. I remember seeing the music video for this on TV back when it debuted!) Clear = 9.0 (Interesting and rather weird reggae/synth-pop fusion) Good and Broken = 9 (Similar progression to Right Here & As I Am) I Miss You = 10 (Very good song for anyone trying to remember a lost loved one and a song to close off the album!) Overall I really LOVE this album out of all the Hannah Montana series album, this is one my favorite. Let's just say I will remember the songs from this album the most. I do agree that Avril Lavigne was inspiration for this and many tracks from this time period. If it wasn't for her, Hannah wouldn't exist. Review: Perfect - Exactly the description. Loved it.

" MAKE IT ROCK !!! "
I'm 60 years old and in my opinion this has to be one of the greatest double-CD rock albums ever recorded. The first CD is by Miley Cyrus as "Hannah Montana" and the second CD is by Miley Cyrus as herself. I love every song on both CDs. I can't think of any other double-CD that can match it. Even the Beatles "White Album" comes in second to this in my opinion. Once you get past any mental block that this is only a 14 year old girl putting out this music you can appreciate how great each CD is individually and both CDs are collectively. It features the classic "Life's what you make it" ("so let's make it rock!"). This package made it to # 1 on the Billboard charts and went triple-platinum --- for well-deserved reasons. I think it is just incredible and that every fan of rock music from the age of 5 to infinity should have this in their collection. You WILL sing along and you WILL dance when this is on ! Its one of my top five favorites going all the way back to 1960. "IT ROCKS !!!"

I Call It The Britney Spears Effect
Miley is constantly hassled & criticized, just as Britney Spears was upon her debut. It's "cool" to hate Miley Cyrus. Fortunately for unbias people such as myself, we can look past the facades and opinions of others and see that this girl has talent. She may not have the strongest voice, but it is a good voice, it's unique, and she has good range. The songs are all fun and upbeat, very catchy. And what's most impressive is that at the age of 14, she wrote 8 out of the 10 songs on the Meet Miley disc, while Britney can't even write more than 3 songs on her past few albums. So props for her. I look forward to Miley's future, and hopefully she'll make dance music one day.

Amazing
Miley's released three albums but this is by far her best. It's cohesive, creative, fun, addictive, catchy, & spunky. It covers a range of genres from pop/rock to dance to Latin to reggae. This is Miley at her most versatile yet it's also her most overlooked album just because it was packaged and sold with a Hannah Montana soundtrack. Literally EVERY song is perfection (except MAYBE "I Miss You"). My absolute favorites are "See You Again", "East Northumberland High", "Clear", and "Right Here". Meet Miley Cyrus has absolutely no filler (while her next two albums, Breakout and Can't Be Tamed, had a fair amount) and it's definitely an amazing output for a Disney girl debut.

I received the wrong CD in the case. Update. The seller reshuffled the new CD immediately and assured me that this was not indicative of their normal process
