Radclyffe is Amazing!
I have a copy of every book Radclyffe has wriiten. I find her books amazing, Ii can not wait to dive into them. Each one has been a mind bending can't wait to turn over the next page. Some of her books are series and we feel as if those people are our familes, that we know each one intimately. If you want to read a book that keeps you on your toes, and after you read it through fast, you can't wait to read it again (yes they are that good) then buy a book by Radclyffe. She is truly amazing!!! I read 2-5 books a week and have a few favorite authors... Radclyffe is right up there in the top 3... so do yourself a favor... make up your own mind if you like her books... purchase one.. and then you will be hooked...

Good, sweet read
This was another good book from a great author. It wasn't my favourite Radclyffe book because it seemed rushed. I didn't feel the same slow burn into a real relationship as I usually do with her novels. If you're a fan of Radclyffe or of lesbian fiction, this book is for you. Not the best from Radclyffe, but still so much better than just about anything else.

A love story in the making
This is the story of how 2 women from different backgrounds and outlooks on life met and fell in love. Jenna Hardy is a romance writer on a book tour when she happens to faint at the airport and is forced to stop the tour and rest Gardner Davis is the local vet and coroner in a small town in Vermont where Jenna goes to rest and recover. How they meet and what happens when they do is what Radclyffe's brilliant story telling does. It takes you the reader on a journey of the heart. She does a great job of bringing the two women together and it is enjoyable ride.

Average story, standard Radclyffe
Spoilers belowThis is pretty standard Radclyffe fare, two women meet, are instantly attracted to each other, there's some push and pull over whether they should sleep together and then they have fabulous sex and live happily ever after. Oh, and one is butch and has a masculine name and the other is femme, which is also to be expected in a Rad book, she never seems to deviate from that theme. The bonus is that at least neither character is a doctor, cop or firefighter, so that's something different. As usual we don't get to delve too deeply into the characters, and they manage to fall in love within a short time span. I think it's less than two weeks. There's also a plethora of other lesbians populating their world, even though they have to import some from out of town, as the book is set in a rural location. And even though they come from two different worlds, that's easy enough to gloss over once Rad realised she'd run out of chapters and then we have the standard rushed ending. It's a quick read, and if you like Radclyffe books, you'll probably enjoy it. I'd give it 2.5 stars.

Radclyffe has done it again
I don't think there has been a book that she has written that I don't like. This one was great. Loved the characters, how they both wanted to love someone but were afraid to. I also liked how there was no mysteries it was about this two. I would recommend this book.

Good writing; lousy story development
I think Radclyff is a gifted writer. She draws me into her stories each time. Her "Honor" stories have to be the best lesbian romance series ever written. I always look forward to her new books so I was disappointed when this book turned out to be so "average".The book reminds me of a restaurant that has all great ingredients but never delivers on the promise of amazing food. The story line is so thin you can see through it. The relationship between the two women never really develops -- it is literally a wham, bam, seen-each-other-about -five-times and we are ready to make a life-long commitment. That is just ridiculous. Moreover, sub-plots never go anywhere -- what is the vet's hidden "real" story? Why didn't the writer and her "manager" hook up? Why did the great-great-great-great-aunt leave her estate to a relative she never knew?I like Radclyff's writing too much to abandon ship. My impression is that she is writing fast and not thoughtfully. I would rather read a story-rich book than a plot-poor one. I wish she would slow down and develop her characters and story. We know she can do it based on the volume of amazing work she has already done.

Another enjoyable book from a consistantly good author
I enjoyed this book thoroughly. I thought it was well written and told a good story. Certainly I like some of Radclyffe's stories better than others which is entirely subjective. However it seems to me these 1 and 2 star ratings are too harsh.

Standard Radclyffe romance...but that's not a bad thing!
There are no surprises in this standard Radclyffe romance but it's no worse for that fact. Radclyffe knows how to string a sentence together and she's very good at doing the 'suppressed sensuality' thing. This is heavy on attraction and relatively low on the sex, and possibly better for that. I was also intrigued enough to learn both ladies secrets, particularly Gard's (even if I wasn't entirely convinced when it came out right towards the end of the book). All in all, it engaged me and keep me reading however and thankfully, there wasn't too much of the throbbing machismo that I've accused Radclyffe of before...one of Radclyffe's better standalone's...

Predictable enjoyable romance
Jenny Hardy, aka Cassandra Hart is a best selling novelist. She doesn't lack for beautiful women, but never becomes involved with any of them. After she collapses at a book signing due to over work, she knows she has to take a break from everything.Gardner Davis is a veterinarian and coroner. The two women meet after Gardner, in her capacity as coroner, attends to a long lost relative of Jenny's and Jenny goes to sort out the estate. Jenny and Gardner both have reasons for not becoming involved with anyone, let alone each other. Can they come to terms with their pasts to allow themselves the happiness that neither thought they would ever have?Another romance from Radclyffe. I really enjoyed the book, but it is predictable. Sometimes though, it's just nice to read a book like this that doesn't have me on the edge of my seat. What I would call for myself, `a comfort read'.

Well..it’s Radclyffe
So her books are either good or great. This one is good, don’t doubt me just buy it, but I have to find a way to differentiate her 30+ books.I love the angst that permeates this book, I love the damaged worlds men find each other, but in loving that I have to deal with the cliche bits, hence it’s 4 not 5.But seriously it’s good!

Different!
But very satisfying. The book didn't follow Radclyffe's normal storyline. It has two characters leading very different lives. One an author the other a veterinarian. She even managed to link in the Honor series with Diane. How does she do that so seamlessly? I loved the book and the small town setting. Read it you'll love it.

What can I say, this author is stand alone as far as I am concerned. Buy it, read it, enjoy! Ange
