The original key was dropped, it came apart and two of the buttons were lost! The buttons in this key shell fit perfectly in my 2017 Camry original key! I am keeping the rest of the shell and buttons in just in case! Note! anyone that has this happen to them when picking up the pieces there be may a small black, what looks like a piece of plastic that came loose. This is the computer chip. there is a spot in the fob this goes in. The car will not start unless this is in the fob. I also purchased a complete rubber key cover from Amazon to prevent it from coming apart again: KeyGuardz Keyless Entry Remote Car Key Fob Outer Shell Cover Soft Rubber Protective Case for Toyota Camry Corolla Rav4 HYQ12BDM I am very pleased with the Key fob shell buttons, and it was worth $7.00 as opposed to over $30 for the same type of shell at local hardware store and definitely better than over $300 for a new key!

I thought maybe I could replace the key with the cat one I had cause the plastic part broke. It has the key attached and you can’t get anyone to cut it.

Purchase this for my 2016 Toyota Camry… It is just a shell so I was able to transfer the parts of my old key fob into this… There is no need for programming as long as your key fob already works… If you are looking to just replace your key. This is the one you should get… In total it cost me $23 to have my key replaced. That is the combination of the price of this product in addition to taking it to a locksmith for the key to be cut. My old one just broke apart on me as I was starting the ignition on the car the metal piece which is the key came loose. Everything else still worked so this fit perfectly for my needs… Again, if you are only looking to replace the metal piece, which is your key, then this is perfect. If you need a fob, this is not the item to purchase. It took the locksmith less than 10 minutes to cut the key and to transfer the old pieces into this new shell. It does come with new buttons if you lost any of yours. The blank key piece is attached onto the shell.

Fantastic. Very good quality. Got this to replace a bent key with broken plastic fob. The local hardware store cut the key. I transferred the electronic module and it's like a new OEM key. IMPORTANT: you have to extract al the tiny security chip from the old fob and put it in this. It's not easy—but that's on Toyota.

Well made. While not an exact copy, after doing some light trimming on one of the control buttons I decided to use it to replace the button that disappeared while changing out the battery. Six months later still working great.

My MIL broke her key for her 2015 Toyota Camry but the electronics on the inside were fine, just needed a new case and key. This replaced the broken parts perfectly. But you also have to extract the chip from the old key and glue it into the new case or the key won't start the car. She was going to go to dealer for a new key which would have cost something like $300 to $400. This method of repair saved her a ton of money!!!!

The cover doesn’t fit too well. Perhaps I got the wrong version for Toyota Camry. The quality is great though and you get your value for money, easy to use and easy to install, performs well but it would be better if the taps actually fitted
