Great Price and Quality So Far!
Have had these things in a few days now in my 1500 Silverado with a leveling kit. I have 10 plys so the ride has always been rough with the cheap name brand shocks I had before. After a summer of off-roading I broke one of those cheapies right in half. I ordered these shocks for an amazing price as a pair! Surprisingly enough they were here within a couple days. I threw them in the same night. Right away I noticed the shock looked much beefier and the shaft part of the shock was a lot bigger than a stock shock. I noticed right away they ride much smoother than my other ones and they seem to stay stiffer when you need it and light driving they are soft. Loving them so far!

Fits 4wd avalanche.
So far much better ride quality than blown out factory shocks, install was quick and easy. Ignore the description it will fit on a 4wd avalanche. Rough country's website confirmed via the part number and they are currently on my z71 avalanche.

Ok I guess
Seem to be ok on the front of my 2000 silverado base model 4x4. Don't forget to order boots if you want them covered up. They come just like in the picture

Good but soft
I put these shocks on a leveled 02 Silverado extended cab. The piston rod and body are thicker than what I previously had on it. I was running monotubes. These are twin tube. They have a fast rebound on bumps. But they are a little softer than I was hoping for. That being said they seem to be great shocks for town, highway and for dirt roads with washboards. They do allow a little bit more body roll because they are softer shock. But it makes for a smoother ride on choppy roads and washboards. I would recommend over OE replacements.

Would not recommend
With the price being under 100 dollars I expected to get maybe a year out of them, one of those you get what you pay for. I put them on my 2000 Silverado with a 2 inch lift/level and they were great for about three days. Now they ride horrible and my truck bounces all over the road, I would spend the extra money and buy something else highly do not recommend getting these was a waste of money as I’m now looking for new shocks

Rear shocks not front
Rough country is reliable a good purchase. However, the first photo shows front shocks and the third shows rear shocks. The top with the bolt on and the bottom being a fork is front. Both sides being a bushing to put a bolt through is rear. I received a rear needing front shocks as I was putting my level kit on. Of course I didn’t open the box till I have my front end torn apart.

fast shipping had all the hardware included just bolt on and go

Of all things, I was missing the top nut for one side. A quick trip to my auto parts store and I had it resolved. It’s a 3/8” fine thread, the stock struts are a coarse thread… I will say they ride MUCH better than my stockers!

Worst strut ever, installed and they ride rough and make a terrible noise. Do yourself a favour and buy cheap shocks because anything is better than those. Also terrible customer service couldn’t even get my money back, had to pay to get them installed and then had to pay to put new ones on worst experience ever.
