These were sort of a small clippy when use with the generic metal silvery d-rings. I did not use for my visible clips - bought clips that were more spacious - used these only for the straps (at the side). Generic also seems to mean that not all work - -

These metal clasps are awesome. The closure is much tighter and stronger than I expected, which is great. I used these to make a bunch of handbags and they did their job very well. The color is also very nice. It's a pretty sterling silver color that matches well with other hardware I used for the purses.

The few I have left, are all a tarnished like color now and I just tossed them in the trash

The claps are very hard to operate and tend to be "off line". There were a bunch of claps entangled with each other and there is no possible way to get them "unstuck" without breaking at least one of them.

Nice strong clasp. Would order again, but I wish they would make it in a smaller size. I'm looking for a 5/8" size.
