Cold Steel Brooklyn Smasher, Black, 34 Inch

I like this as much as I like my firearms collection. It's a heavy sucker, but it is the right length. The surface has a texture that allows for a better grip, but a little batter's tape could also be used. It's Cold Steel, so I know the quality is there. I slapped a "townie" sticker on it, plus another from Fenway Pahhhk, and it sits on the nightstand ready to protect the homestead.

Bought as a starter tool for getting into 1- and 2-handed heavy club swinging for exercise c/o Mark Wildman's youtube videos. 3.5lbs is a surprising amount of weight when it's a 3 foot long lever. Great for mobility, conditioning tendons&ligaments, and practicing technique without risking injury. At higher levels of training, the aforementioned coach does attack/defend drills with Cold Steel bats vs live machetes and depends on its durability to keep his students safe- it can stop a hacking blade, over and over, thousands of times. And also stop your back pain. Probably not very good for actual baseball.

I purchased this bat for home defense since I'm 17 and can't legally own a firearm,the first thing I noticed when I lifted the bat out of the box is the weight. It's definitely has some heft to it. I immediately went outside and started throwing things in the air and hit them with the bat when they came down, i was suprised to see it got scratched by a pair of old heels when i batted them, I really took it to heart when Cold Steel said it was indestructible. But I know this bat will definitely last me for years to come. My only problem is that it's too long to handle efficiently in the quarters of my room, so take that into consideration when considering this as a defense weapon. I've never actually played baseball with this bat but it seems a bit too heavy for that. Not that i would, just my honest opinion. All in all, a great product, in the rush of a home invasion, the bat will feel as a light as a feather so don't worry about that negative aspect.

I really enjoy using bat for training, but it was a bit too long for me. But I think it's well made and reasonable price!

If you are even thinking about buying one of these - grab at least one before the price goes up. I'm in Texas. Hitting people with things is frowned upon here. The only thing besides brass knuckles we can't carry is a "Club", a striking weapon. So of course, I wanted one. Not illegal to own, just illegal to carry with intent. And besides - It's a baseball bat. Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie, & Chevrolet. And if I hear a bump in the night - I'm not grabbing this or any other bat/club/hammer. My pump shotgun isn't that much heavier than these bats. That said - These are Awesome! And as many people have said - they are a LOT heavier than you'd think. Quickly getting back into place for strike two may be a bit of struggle. But I in no way think this this was a stupid waste of my money, even though that's exactly what they were ( on sale - I bought two). I'd rate them as pretty dangerous for cosplay. And I've VERY glad I picked the Brooklyn Smasher over any of the other models. Awesome. Highly Recommend for no good reason. "Because".

Now I know that swinging around 2.5 pounds of plastic is hard. I have newfound respect for the people in the past who wielded such heavy swords with such grace. The bat has a satisfying weight, well-balanced and ideal for swinging at anything, bamboo or otherwise. It even dents hardwood! It proves effective against opponents heavily armored against piercing but vulnerable to impact, haha! A great survival tool if you're in an area where guns and sharp objects are banned, like in California, New York or Canada.(in any woke place fml) If not, it's an excellent choice for honing your forearm strength and combat skills.

Perfect bat its durability unmatched

I haven't bashed anything yet, but I love this bat! It's longer and heavier than I expected and felt unwieldy at first, but after a week of flipping and swinging it around, it feels comfortable and powerful. Makes for a great exercise tool when things don't need smashing.

Heavy and solid, won't break and should last a life time. Useful for practice as the weight should build a good swing.

Seems solid and durable. Time will tell. Happy so far with this purchase.

Se trata de un bate muy robusto, nada mas cogerlo y sentir el peso notas la calidad. Cold Steel es una empresa que fabrica excelentes artículos para entrenamiento en defensa personal y creo que este producto va encaminado hacia esa dirección. Dicho esto, en mi opinión, considero que se trata de un bate de decoración y para dar "tranquilidad" al hogar, lo digo porque su peso es considerable al estar fabricado en una especie de pasta irrompible muy dura y una sesión de bateo con el puede pasar factura al hombro. Ya depende de las necesidades de cada uno.

Nice and Solid. A bit too heavy though The weight is still manageable for a full-grown adult male, who is big sized, as me. But even then, I can't swing it that fast. It would be quite challenging for most people, since they would be smaller than me. I give it 4 stars as a melee weapon
