Great alternative to the Park TM-1
I like Park Tool, but the price they charge for their version of this tool is outrageous. I was worried this one might lack quality but am pleased to report that it works great as well as the fit and finish of the parts are excellent. If someone could tell me what about the Park version is worth 6 times the price of this one I'm willing to listen, but for a home mechanic this is by far a better value.

Essential, easy, cost-effective tool for bike wheel maintenance
I slowly started truing my own wheels and learned a few key tools are required to do it right. One is a spoke tension meter, which I've used more often than expected. This tool is easy to use and cost effective, compared to name brands. I compared my readings to the ones with the famous blue one and they were very close. After riding my new bike for 100 miles or so, I decided to check the spokes and then do a truing. To my surprise, quite a few spokes were way too loose. I used the excellent tutorial and online software offered by Park Tool to map and correct all spoke tensions before truing. The other tool I ended up getting and recommend is a dishing tool. My new bike was within tolerance, but my older bike was way out, most likely because of being trued several times at bike shops without being dished, or having an off centered truing stand, who knows.

Seems accurate, but.
Seems accurate enough for a home mechanic. I used it for a rim swap. I have not taken my work to my LBS for their tech to check for me, with a calibrated gauge. However, based on my extensive experience, 100kgf, as indicated on this tool, certainly “feels” like 100kgf -+. The tension gauge came with a tool to “quickly” determine the diameter of spokes. However, the “slots” were imprecise, and labeled completely at random, with no one slot labeled correctly with regard to rhyme or reason. I would absolutely recommend this spoke tension tool to an experienced mechanic, that needs reasonably-priced tools for their home workbench. The spoke tension meter is of reasonably good build quality.

Works with limits
I can't speak for the overall accuracy of the meter as I am not building wheels, however y needed this to replace a broken spoke and make sure that the rest of the spokes were about the same tension, and for that, this worked perfectly. The fit and finish seems fine for the price point in which they are selling for, I don't see anyway to zero or for calibration, but again, that's okay for what I am using this for. If I were building wheels from scratch, then I would opt for the Park tool.

Easy simple instrument
Easy to use and just as advertised, I don’t know how accurate the instrument is, but just to get my stuff close I compared it to existing, seem to work great

Great meter! READ FOR UNDERSTANDING INCONSISTENCY IN READINGS
This meter really helps to true a wheel in a more timely and efficient manner. It also helps to evenly distribute the tension in a more balanced way when you measure the spokes throughout the non-drive side (rear wheel) first and then true the drive side spokes. Please know that if you don’t engage the spoke properly, the reading is way off. So make sure not to fret. Squeeze your spikes to feel if they’re really loose if you’re getting a low reading. Line up the spoke in the meter along the dotted line so that it’s only hitting the two metal cylinders and not the spacers below them, and then measure the tension. Be patient if you are getting low readings and do your best to engage it properly to get the correct reading. If you really want to learn the dark art of truing a wheel, this meter will really help.

This tool is a copy of the blue TM-1. Its user manual literally has the same conversion table (except the blue logo) and the exact same images. Therefore, you can use the online Wheel Tension App of the TM-1 company as is. The tool feels sturdy and gives repeatable measures. I have yet to compare its readings to a real TM-1 however, to check if it's correctly calibrated.

just two minor things, one, it's a little bigger then I expected, I have E-bike and the motor is in the rear wheel. found it very difficult to use it because of the shortness of the spokes. Secondly, I found out the tension by using it on another spoke. it was 32, in the paper chart either I am not understanding it, but couldn't find/or figure out what is the correct tension. Owell, I bought it just in case, because I have a lot of cyclist friends, it now became a nice tool other can borrow. the Coles note version, good product if you know what you are doing.
