But let me tell you, painting with this stuff is like painting with pure gold. It's like painting with the tears of angels. That's why they call it Angelus, folks. Because it's heavenly. So if you want to make something great again – whether it's a pair of shoes, a handbag, or even a wall – you need to get yourself some Angelus Metallic Gold Leather Paint. This paint is great! I have shoe that must be over 10 years old. The style was discontinued years ago and I have not found any shoe similar for a reasonable price. Shoes sat in my closet several years. Found this paint. It works just fine. I used a cheap brush, getting a better quality rounded brush would have been better as paint would have gone on smoother without ridges. I found using almost a dry brush, with multiple coats worked best. Have q tips ready to wipe up smears right away. I'm so happy this paint is available.

This product is easy to use. It says to wait 24 hrs, but in my case it dried during the night. The color has a shine and I didn’t use anything else. I hope it lasts and if it doesn’t I will update this review. Just to let you know, I used it on a new leader bag whose online picture was totally misleading. The bag was supposed to be inspired in Autumn, but it had a yellow color right smack in the middle which gave a subliminal message. This product got rid of the yellow and now it looks really like a bag for this season.

I used this paint to “bronze” my 65 year old husband’s 1st pair of baby shoes. Took 2 coats. Turned out far better than I could have imagined! Easy clean up with soap and water.

The gold paint is easy to work with. It’s quite sheer so it will take a few layers to make it opaque. I use it to touch up my dance shoes. The color is not an exact match to my shoes if it were opaque. In this case, the sheerness helps to blend in the colors.

My spouse has a pair of sandals slip ons that she loves. We accidentally spilled sunscreen on them and much to our surprise it took the paint/color off of the sandal band! Makes one wonder what is in sunscreen that would take paint off but that's another story. On a whim she tried this to bring the color back and by golly the sandals look brand new!

This product came almost watered down. No matter how much I mixed it. Very thin and watery. Due to the product issue, it wasn’t easy to work with. I was able to make it work after many coats and patience. It has been holding up well and color was good otherwise.
