This inverter didn’t serve my needs . But support team with Ampeak is great . I have a lot of Ampeak inverters and remote switches they all work great . I would definitely recommend Ampeak products if you are looking for a well built reasonably priced product.my only problem I had was I needed a bigger inverter to run my AC in my Rv it wasn’t the inverter it was the size .

Our company has been buying this inverter for our OTR drivers for about seven years. The inverter works great for our driver. They are able to have a lot the comforts from home in their cabs, i.e. TV's, microwave, gaming systems. They have held up to the thousands of miles that they have endured going down the ruff roads of America. I have ordered around 25-30 of them, we have not had to return one of them due to defect or failures. Shipping has been great always packed neatly and receiving the product in roughly a day in most cases.

This device works well when used for resistive loads. However when I tried to used this for inductive loads the devices did now preform well. They made abnormal sounds and tripped thier circuit breakers. This was not really the fault of the device. Many home appliances do not like running on a modified sine wave.

I bought this along with a Lithium battery. I ran the invertor using a variable ceramic heater. I turned it slowly up to about 1500 watts when the battery shut down. It seems i hit the limit of the battery, not the invertor. The second test I connected a 150 watt load for 12 hours. The battery was 100 amp hours. After 12 hours they battery still had 12 volts. So the inverter seems to be efficient enough to not use alot of extra power to convert the Electric to AC 120 volts. The third test I ran, was to leave the inverter on for 2 days with nothing connected to it. I only saw the voltage go down about .3 volts over the 2 days and was still able to run the 150 watt load after the 2 day idle test. Overall, these 3 criteria is what I was looking for in an inverter/ battery combo. This is better than my Lead acid battery and 400 watt invertor that I replaced. If anyone has any other tests I can run, let me know. I also used it to run my coffee maker, it worked fine at about 800 watts.

This new version purchased on September 12, 2022 will not power on my 1500 watt circular Skilsaw showing "short circuit" on the screen and does not even auto-restart. Maybe it is defective. An older model purchased on October 24, 2020 works just fine and if I overload it - it restarts by itself as it should. Clearly, this newer model is either defective or inferior as it does not have the same surge power capacity as the older model. Also, the cables it came with are thinner than the older model. On the plus side, the newer model features plastic covers for the power terminals. Not much of a plus all things considered. I had to order another inverter, a 4000 watt unit from Kreiger, that turned out to be completely defective. Meanwhile work is halted at my construction project and now ~$550 are tied up in returns for 2+ weeks. If you want to power a 1500w inductive load - this inverter is NOT for you.

I'm able to run my tablet for movies, my electric blanket that goes on my air bed and a 1500 watt small heater without any problems love it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've had this for years and it works every time. Good product.

I HAVE BOUGHT 2 OF THESE AND THE FIRST ONE HAS BEEN GREAT BUT THE 2ND ONE TANKED AFTER 6 MONTHS. EMAILED CUSTOMER SERVICE 2X AND TRIED CALLING AND LEAVING A MESSAGE, NO REPLY FROM EITHER. IF YOU GET A GOOD ONE, YOU GOT A GOOD ONE. BUT IF YOU GET A BAD ONE , YOU GOT A PAPER WEIGHT FOR LIFE
