It’s oddly satisfying watching that smooth tape glide out and lock perfectly in place like it’s proud of itself. The self-locking feature is genius — no more wrestling to hold it still while it snaps back and smacks my fingers. The grip feels solid, the numbers are easy to read, and it’s got just the right amount of “click” when retracting. Honestly, it makes me feel like a pro DIY-er, even if all I’ve done is hang one slightly crooked picture frame. Bottom line: five stars, absolutely faultless. For the price, this thing punches way above its weight. If it ever disappears, I’ll assume someone borrowed it permanently. Amazon do it again.

A must have for any household, you never know when you need a measuring tape. Great length, as it’s been useful for many things during a house move. I love that it stays locked as you pull it out and only releases and comes back in when you push the button. It’s kinda the opposite of how measuring tapes normally work and it’s much more functional this way. I hope it lasts okay over time but so far very pleased.

This tape measure is better than I thought. The special thing is that when you pull it out it locks and stops without slipping back like other types.

Ho acquistato questo metro di Amazon Basics perché ho da poco preso casa e, armato di buona volontà, mi sono lanciato in una serie di lavoretti. Cercavo uno strumento affidabile, preciso e che non mi costasse una fortuna. Devo dire che questo prodotto ha superato di gran lunga le mie aspettative. ​Prime Impressioni: Solido e Ben Fatto ​Appena tolto dalla confezione, la prima sensazione è di robustezza. Il corpo gommato offre un'impugnatura (grip) eccellente, non scivola neanche con le mani un po' sudate o impolverate. Si sente che non è un giocattolo, ma uno strumento pensato per durare e per resistere a qualche caduta accidentale, che in cantiere (o nel caos di una casa da sistemare) è quasi una certezza. ​Il Nastro: Il Vero Protagonista ​Qui arriviamo al cuore del prodotto. ​Lunghezza e Rigidità: 10 metri sono la lunghezza perfetta per quasi ogni lavoro domestico, dalla misurazione di una stanza intera per scegliere il divano nuovo, al taglio di pannelli in legno. I feel stupid saying that, but it's true! I find myself measuring things quite frequently and over many years I have just grown accustomed to using a tape measure with a healthy dose of fear that it's going to snap back in my face with no warning. This thing is a revelation though. Not only does it work as described (ie it will only retract the tape when you push the button - no lock required) but it works perfectly! I love being able to pull out a long length of tape without fighting with the spring and the lock, and it's also great for short measurements too as it's just works so smoothly. When it is time to retract the tape the action is controlled and gentle so even in that case it feels very safe and nice to use. It's a small thing but wow, what an improvement!

Se déroule péniblement, qualité très moyennes, arrêt approximatif. à recommencer je n'achèterais pas...reste le prix attractif pour un usage très occasionnel.

Me he hecho con esta cinta métrica de 10 metros y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido para bien. Lo primero que notas al tenerla en la mano es que es grande y pesa un poco, pero es totalmente normal teniendo en cuenta la longitud de la cinta. De hecho, esa sensación de "peso" da un punto extra de robustez que se agradece en herramientas que van a durar años. La cinta mide tanto en centímetros como en pulgadas, algo que me viene genial porque a veces me toca revisar medidas en distintos formatos. La lectura es muy clara y el material de la cinta se nota resistente, nada endeble como otras cintas baratas que se doblan con mirarlas. Una de las cosas que más me ha gustado es el sistema: al sacar la cinta, se queda fija automáticamente, sin necesidad de andar apretando ningún botón para bloquearla. Resulta muy cómodo cuando tienes solo una mano libre o estás midiendo algo grande. Y cuando quieres recogerla, simplemente pulsas el único botón que tiene y la cinta vuelve a su sitio sola, suave y sin golpes bruscos. En cuanto a la calidad general, transmite muy buenas sensaciones. Los colores que lleva —los típicos tonos de herramientas profesionales— le dan un aspecto muy sólido y fiable. Parecen detalles menores, pero en conjunto hacen que se sienta como una herramienta bien terminada, pensada para durar. En resumen: una cinta métrica práctica, resistente y muy cómoda de usar. Si necesitas una de 10 metros, esta es totalmente recomendable.
