I got my tongue split a few months ago and needed to remove the stitches at home, I got some other metal ones, but they just weren't as comfortable as these for whatever reason. They are super easy to use once you get over the initial fear of the tugging stitches. Would definitely buy again if I'm dumb enough to get it re-split one day, or manage to get into some situation needing a removal kit again -- God forbid.

Works great

Bought to remove a couple of superficial sutures my dog had in his thigh. Lots of plastic, which shouldn’t be a surprise from the product description. Still it felt frustratingly cheap while handling (and my hands are on the small side). So much fumbling with both the scissors and the tweezers that any sterilization goes out the door. The tweezers felt like they came from the dr. operation game, and the scissors that came with these clunky at the tip. Not only were they non-precise, but they also failed to actually cut the suture itself. Ended up tossing the set and watched a few youtube videos, which turned out to be a way better use of my time rather than waiting for this item and struggling with it. One video (by an actual vet done in her clinic) suggested to use a nail clipper, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, to get a close and accurate snip. We did just that and the sutures came out clean and painless for my dog.

Good for one time use of suture removal! The scissors are a little on the flimsy side, but got the job done.

My husband busted up his right thumb pretty bad-13 stitches worth, so when it came time to take the stitches out, he wanted me to remove them. Viola! These were perfect. It comes in sterilized packaging and is so easy to use!
