Great concept, Terribly impractical
The design is really cool, but it is mot very practical at all. A lot of spills and this is now just collecting dust at the back of the bar.

Cool idea, doesn't work
I really want to like this jigger but I don't ever end up using it. It looks nice, but liquid is always spilling, it gets super messy and it's awkward to handle. It's a nice decoration piece though....

Cool. Not practical
I love it, but I didn't buy it to use it. There's no way it's good for measuring: butter, peanut butter, oil, mascarpone, sour cream, mayonnaise, etc. You'll never get sticky oily substances off of it. As noted by others small measures of liquids would be very difficult. I just like it because it's a clever idea, that looks good, illustrating the volumetric relationships, with some fresh geometry. Thanks for the sweet design. I leave mine out, on a kitchen shelf.

Great Industrial Design That is More Novelty than Function
As a bar tool, this is not the best measuring device. As a conversation piece, it is an excellent choice. First, a few notes on the actual piece: 1. It is bigger than you might imagine. When you think of anything else that measures a shot you think of a thimble sized glass. This is about the size of a Rubiks Cube. 2. It is much heavier than you might expect. It feels like it is milled out of solid aluminum. As a result of its size and weight, it like holding a small, metal engine part: somewhat awkward in the hand, but beautifully made. It is also meant to be poured from the corner, much like a traditional wooden box for drinking sake upon which the design is based. But because the measurements are meant to fill liquid to the top and it is square, actually lifting up and pouring it without spilling poses something of a challenge. A work around is to use the next bigger size measurement and not fill it all the way up (eg, the 1.25 oz side to measure out 1 oz). Obviously this means you are approximating your measurements, but if you are mixing a drink being particularly accurate with your measurements is less important than the quality of the liquor or the company. On that note, I would say that the piece is an outstanding conversation piece. Its size, clunkiness, and clean industrial design all add to the coolness of mixing a drink. Definitely gets people talking. In fact, I left it on my desk at the office for a few days after receiving it and no one could walk in without picking it up. Probably couldn't say the same for just a glass the size of a thimble emblazoned with your old college or favorite bar on it. Five stars for cool; one star for pure functionality. Split the difference and you get three. Cheers.

its a let down when you have to use it
I always wanted something like this, however the design sucks when you need to use it. when your using it to pour into something, it spills everywhere. Super huge let down. The product itself is very sturdy well built and awesome though.

I would not buy this again.
Pros: Heavy! Could kill a bear with it! Great conversation starter! Tons of topics to choose from! Jane: "It's so heavy!" Frank: "I know! I bet you could kill a bear with it." Jane: "Lets make some drinks!" Easy to clean Great for keeping plates vertical in the drying rack Great for keeping papers from running away Okey at trapping spiders Cons: Because of the way the Jigger is set up, you need a really steady hand to use it, you fill to the edge, and if you are not a surgeon (Full disclosure: I am not a surgeon) you will surely spill your ingredients. Actually, even if you are a surgeon I am guessing you had a few drinks by the time you tried to use this, or were attacked by a bear and need something to take the edge off. In either case, your hands are no longer steady and you will spill. Does not work well as a baseball.
