Living proof Full Thickening Cream, 3.7 Fl Oz

I have baby-fine hair. And now that I'm a week away from 50 years old, I also have some thinning, too. I heard about this product and decided to give it a whirl. I'm glad I did. It's a lightweight cream you just rub into towel dried hair and it certainly makes a difference. If I want to just put my hair up in a clip, it helps add oomph to my hair so it doesn't slip out of the clip all day long. If I decide to "girl it up" one day and curl my hair, it helps hold the curls longer and adds some body to the final do. I don't really notice a smell to it...maybe just slightly.

At first, it was really hard to believe that there's actually a product out there that will thicken my hair and actually work. Because of many articles and reviews boasting about how wonderful this product is, I decided to give this a try. I just received this in the last week and I've used it twice. I was really surprised to find that this actually WORKS. I could immediately tell that my hair was thicker. My hair stood up more after blow drying rather than lay flat on my head. It also felt as if I had more hair when I combed through my hair with my fingers. It seemed to have a lot more texture. Not only does this work, it also smells REALLLLY good. The cream resembles that of conditioner. I use merely a dime sized amount and work from roots to ends. Comb through and blow dry. Super easy and quick. I have fine, thin hair, so anything that has even the slightest effect will be apparent. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a boost for their hair. This is my newest favorite to my after-shower routine.

I have fine, thin hair, always have. I have colored the gray for many years and tried tons of thickening products. Always some issue- either they didn't work (most) or they weighed my hair down and made it attrack dirt, or seemed gooey. This product goes on easily (I don't use a lot- only on my bangs and the ends) but it blow dries soft, full, fluffy and healthy, and THICK! No residue. It makes my hair at least thick enough for me, since at 61, my bangs can have that middle aged "see through" look without this product. My only disappointment is the high price for the amount you get. If I had to use this on my entire head to try to thicken all of my hair, the cost would be too prohibitive. I really wish they made a larger size for convenience and save a little money.

I don’t normally write reviews- but this product has changed my life! My hair is v fine- it doesn’t hold curl at all. I had all but resigned to having bad hair. On a whim I tried this bc I read Jen Aniston used it. First time use- I did not style my hair at all- showered applied and went to sleep- I woke up and instantly noticed- I had good hair!! I didn’t do anything and it felt thicker and looked like I had styled it. I styled it w second use and it is holding!!! It seems to thicken and make the hair tacky giving volume and holding curl. Miraculous!!🙌 so glad I found this product!

I love this product. I put this product on my hair after I wash it, and it is still damp to the touch. I then dry it with a hair dryer, and style it with a curling iron. This product gives my hair a good body lift, curls up very nice, and holds that curl most of the day. I do put a little hair spray over it to hold it. If I do not use it, I need to really spray the hair spray on my hair a lot, therefore putting up with a lot of residue to brush out before I retire. When I use this cream, it brushes out so nice, taking care of the hair spray residue Also, I am very allergic to a lot of creams etc., due to the fact that they contain so much fragrance in them. This is the only product that I have found that I can use safely, and not get sick from. This information may be of some use to others who have the same problem!

Update January 2016 - A couple months ago, since my initial review of this product, I cut my hair into a short, shaggy, pixie cut. Now I like using this product so much more because I feel it helps add texture to my hair. The messier it is, the better it looks and this product has helped with that - I use it when the weather is especially cold and dry (helps with static) or especially humid (provides texture and helps prevent flatness). However, I still think this is one I would not buy again - too expensive when I still love my BedHead Small Talk and Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Hair Cream. I had such high hopes for this product - read about it on one of my favorite blogs. I'm always looking for something to oomph up my (in my mind) thinning hair. The directions say to use a pea sized amount and distribute it through your hair, from near the roots through the ends, and then blow dry. Not verbatim what they say, but basically. So I'm thinking "YES!! All kinds of texture and volume all throughout my hair!!" I was careful to use a small amount, I'd read that a little goes a long way. There was definitely texture. And tangles. Oh, the tangles. Once applied I could hardly pull my round brush through my hair to dry it. And after it was dry, I could barely pull my pick though to finish styling. I could feel the product all over my hair - and forget about using any further product to style. If I'd added my heat protecting spray, it would have made everything stick to the curling iron. I realize everyone's hair is different, and others may have great results with this product. I just think it's okay. My hair is slightly longer than chin length, layered, medium texture (not really fine but far from coarse) and I have just enough natural curl to result in frizz. My stance that I have thinning hair - well, when I was a teenager it was so thick we had to thin it out to avoid headaches. Now I'm in my 30s and missing the need to thin it out. Anyway, this morning I tried using an even teensier amount, and just applying it to my roots then running BioSilk Therapy Serum through my hair from mid-shaft to the ends. Found that made a world of difference. It's still just ok for me, and I much prefer my BedHead Small TalkThickifier for overall volume increasing purposes. But at least now I've figured out a way to use the product and make it work.

This product smells good....but it did nothing to thicken my hair. Just made it feel even more limp and unstyled. Do not recommend.

I bought this product based on the reviews. It's supposed to make my hair thicker but what I found was that it made my hair limp and oily. It says to apply a dime sized amount. Frankly I have no idea what a dime size actually is, I applied about a 10c piece so there is a chance i applied slightly too much. One positive about this product is that my hair looked better the next day after sleeping on it. I will keep experimenting, but not impressed so far.

I have been using this product for years and have yet to find anything comparable. I have fine/thin long hair and this product makes my hair feel thicker and fuller. It is not greasy at all and doesn't weigh my hair down or make it feel like there's any product in it.
