Great Ladder - Unbelievable Customer Service
I purchased this 12.5’ telescopic ladder over a year ago based on a lot of outstanding reviews and positive feedback. As a consumer, I rely on these reviews and comments that people leave, I generally find them extremely helpful. I mainly used the ladder to get on the roof of our RV to perform routine maintenance and repairs. For about 18 months the ladder worked great, no problems at all, I loved it! I felt safe using it, it was light weight, portable, and completely worked as advertised. Unfortunately, the first time I used it this Spring, I was unable to retract the ladder back to its original size. After a closer inspection, I noticed that one of the locking rung clips must had broken which prevented the ladder from fully extending and retracting back to its original size. I was completely devastated that something had broken, I really loved the ladder as it worked great for what we used it for. I knew the ladder was out of warranty, but I decided to contact the company (Ohuhu) anyway to see if there was something that could be done to either fix it or have it replaced. I contacted the company via the telephone number provided and left a message. I could not believe it, but I actually received a call back later that same day from the company asking how they could assist me, WOW! The very nice Customer Support Rep suggested that I send an email to their customer support department explaining the issue, which I promptly did. The next day I received an email back from Ohuhu customer support acknowledging my original email. Over the next several days, the Customer Support Rep. (Niki) and I exchanged emails back and forth trying to resolve the issue. I really did not know how this was going to turn out since the product was out of warranty, but to my surprise, the company offered to send me a replacement ladder at no charge stating that I was a valued customer to them and they wanted to make it right, YES! The next day I received an email from customer support (Niki) indicating that the replacement ladder was shipped and that I should receive the new one in a few days. Just as promised, I received the new ladder yesterday in perfect condition, and everything works great! I am so thankful to Ohuhu and their customer support team, when I originally bought the ladder, I never realized that it also came with caring people, outstanding customer service, and a company that truly stands behind their product! A very happy and satisfied customer.

Good but with minor flaw.
I'm sure it is just a fluke, but the ladder I received arrived in a pretty battered up container. Though no physical damage to the ladder was visible, there are two rungs that fail to lock in. Using the ladder this way would be dangerous to say the least, when any weight is applied above the non-locking rung it bends over side ways. Again, I am sure this is not the way these ladders are made and sold, so I probably got a "fluke", the manufacturer is notified and are working with me to resolve this issue. Other, than this minor flaw the ladder looks amazing and feels very sturdy when the non-locking rungs are not used. UPDATE: June 21, 2018, I contacted Ohuhu and informed them of the flaw I found with the ladder they sent me, they were extremely helpful in resolving the issue I had. Ohuhu, decided in a matter of 2 days to send out another ladder, one that worked perfect! I was really surprised by the quick action on their part, it shows that they really DO care about their customers. It is very nice of Ohuhu to do what they did, especially in such a short time. Ohuhu is one who will definitely stand behind their product. I greatly appreciate Ohuhu, and can wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone in the market for a new ladder. UPDATE: June 29, 2018, In my previous update I failed to change my rating from the original 2-Star rating. I'm changing it to a 5-star rating I think it deserves. I've used it several times now, and to me it feels very secure and safe to use. Being 72 years young I have to be extremely careful not to take a fall, my bones wouldn't like it very much. I felt at ease using the ladder, and it also felt really good for my back, no straining at all.

Good compact sturdy ladder
I gave this ladder to my husband for a gift as he uses ladders for work. It is a great ladder to have around the house when you don't have to be up and down all day. Its a lot of work to put it in place and it has to have a wall to lean against (vs an A shaped ladder that can stand independent of a wall). Its compact and can be put into a trunk or smaller space for storage. It's super sturdy and very well made.

Versatile, convenient, strong, but deadly if misused!
Versatile, convenient, strong were the qualities I hoped for when I bought this, after comparing it to the array of ladders on the market. I needed something that had variable reach for both indoor and outdoor work in a home we had just had built for us, so there was going to be frequent use of something that have to be put back in the garage most of the times that it was used. This really met my hopes and saw frequent use. One of the things that I recognized very quickly was that the top rung of the ladder is level with the tips, and the tips provided absolutely NO purchase on whatever wall it was placed against, even the exterior stone and brick. That's a nice quality for easy, unmarking positioning and adjusting for use, but very destabilizing of lateral stability. The base HAS to be level and unyielding, AND the top has to be free of any sensed shifting while climbing and working at longer extensions. Working low on a fully extended ladder means that the top has minimal force holding it toward the wall. In spite of being careful about all of this, I still had a fall in the last four feet of climbing down, with too much attention being paid to the tools I was carrying. I greatly improved the stability of the ladder by applying a coating of black silicone to the tips, and the sides of the top rung of the ladder. I have had no bad experiences in the last five months of use, and there have been no indications of wear or damage. I can't say the same about same-age 6' stepladder I sometimes borrow for my neighbor for use around newly planted trees.

The quality of this product is excellent. My favourite feature is the way the ladder collapses into itself after pushing the release buttons - each rung comes down (one at a time, but in succession form top to bottom) without banging into the next rung due to the air shock effect for each rung. Very easy to use and excellent quality, light weight yet sturdy - I strongly recommend this ladder for any RV owner, who needs to get onto the roof occasionally (clean solar panels in my case) and has limited storage space. Price to Quality ratio is EXCELLENT - Canadian Tire sells a telescopic ladder at more than double this price and I would venture to guess that it is not of the same quality. The width is 18.8" (this was crucial for my storage compartment) and it collapses to about 3 feet. If you are in need of a Telescopic ladder regardless for what purpose - LOOK NO FURTHER - you will not be disappointed. Keep up this type of quality in your products Ohuhu and I will look specifically for your products.

I did not get paid or receive anything for this review. I personally purchased and paid for this item from amazon.ca (verified purchase). At a $110. with the tax and shipping this ladder is an exceptional buy and a quality ladder and it only took a few days to arrive at my door. The weight is as stated and is blessing when compared to the weight of my Little Giant fold out extension ladder that I simply found to heavy and dreaded the thoughts of ever having to use it at any time in the future so I gave it to my son in law. This ladder does flex when using it but the flexing does not compromise safety and will safely hold 330 pounds as stated by the manufacturer. Its the ideal solution for accessing the attic opening inside your home or garage or for accessing the widows or walls or gutters or roof of a single level dwelling and is ideal for any mobil or permanent house trailers or an RV etc, etc. etc. The mechanics involved for extending or closing this ladder is pure effortless and are super quick ( less than 30 seconds ). The spacers between the rungs are a blessing and the true beauty of this Ohuhu product when compared to other similar style and brands of ladders. These spacers between every rung will prevent the possibility of ever having your fingers pinched when lowering each section of the ladder that drop instantly like there spring loaded when you push in the two black locking slides. The diameter of the rubberized feet is 3 inches and it comes with a velcro strap to keep it nicely bundled tightly together when transporting it. When in the close position It will store absolutely anywhere in your home or garage and will easily fit in any trunk or the back seat area of any vehicle. This is by far the very Best Extension Ladder I have ever owned. The only thing I wish it had, is built in { adjustable length telescopic feet } for when your using it on uneven ground. This one additional feature would then make this Ohuhu product the absolute ultimate in Aluminum Telescopic Extension Ladders. I recommend this quality product to all and I hope you enjoyed my review and it was helpful.

We needed a ladder for incidental use with our new travel trailer. (Many RVs no longer come with built-in ladders, and the ladders that still come with many RVs are junk.) It needed to be collapsible/compact for storage in the RV, yet high quality. I could not be more impressed with the Ohuhu. I'm a mostly-retired mechanical engineering consultant, so it takes a lot to impress me. This ladder is brilliantly engineered, incredibly reasonably priced and high-value, and far sturdier than the numerous extension ladders that I have in my garage. Yes, you have to guesstimate how many rungs to extend for partial extension, so this may not be the best tool for frequent use at varying heights, although I expect that experience would reduce that problem considerably. Collapsing can also be a two-person proposition depending on what you are climbing and the upper anchoring circumstances. But all things considered, this is exactly what we needed for our purpose at a fraction of the cost of the local big-box offerings, and far better quality.
