Works as Expected and Delivers RESULTS
Had my roofer install it for $100. My attic would routinely get into the 130-140F range during the summer. After having this installed, my attic stays within the 90-100F range. Insane performance and the inside of our home is much more comfortable.

Wire connection
I purchased and installed two Solar Fans and they work great. Advantages: 1- Fan does not generate noise. You need to to the attic or climb the roof to find out if the fan is running or not. 2- Fan installation on the roof is easy, remove the existing turbine fan and the solar fan, fits the opening easily or with minimum adjustment. 3- instant Switching; from solar to electricity. 4- The design has tags, indicate, where and what to connect solar to the motor. Difficulties 1- The installer, took three trips for the installer to connect both the solar and electricity to the fan. The installer claimed the the solar connection has three prongs, green yellow, male connection and the third one. Plugging male to female connection in no problem but you you have to turn right and left to line until the cable to line the third connection. Otherwise you will hear tic tick. is replaced. This was a major nuisance. Fan effect The fan got installed in the month of July. The temperature in this month, ranges between 92 to 102 Fahrenheit, with heat index can reach up to 116 to 120 degrees. In the attic the temperature normally is 20 to 30 degrees higher than the outside temperature. The fan under extreme temperature conditions, has some effect; instead of facing heat from hot baking oven, it is decreased to do a quick job. The attic is tolerable around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Please read about attic insulation to get better understanding. When you have the The attic insulation, the temperature is five degrees plus the outside temperature. This means if the temperature outside is 90 degrees, the temperature inside the attic is 95 degrees not 120 degrees [around this number]. To get the best benefits of the attic fan, you need to have clear path air pathway from the soffit vents to the attic. [Soffit Vents used under the eave to provide ventilation to attic area preventing mold and heat buildup.] At the end you need to have reasonable expectations. The fan is an important factor among other ones, when considering reducing the attic temperature in summer.

Quiet, but pricey. Manufacturer’s customer service could be better.
Quiet fan but definitely pricey. Manufacturer is hard to reach with Qs, though. Read all fine print in warranty if you ever have a claim.

Garbage. Don’t waste your money
I bought three of these when doing a new roof. They were installed. Now two out of the three are not working. Who is supposed to pay me for the roofers to install two replacements? I suppose warranty should cover it. But, even if they send me two new ones, will they pay me $500 each for removing the old ones and install a new ones? I don’t think Remington will. I can’t even reach them. DO NOT BUY this product. Today I called Remington Solar. They say warranty doesn’t cover the whole fan. Only a defective part. They want me to find out which part is defective on a fan which is installed 30 feet high on the roof 😡😡. This company is terrible and their product is absolutely horrible. I have lost a lot of money on this inferior and flimsy product and they are not compensating me for it. They would not even replace the fan. Just THE DEFFECTIVE PART which I am supposed to find out which part is defective, as if I am a technician to diagnose what is wrong. You must be kidding me. My advise is DO NOT BUY anything from this company. Amazon should remove them from their site too. Amazon is also partly to blame to sell these substandard and defective products. I will file a complaint with Amazon today.

Pricey, great features or lack of but durable and reliable.
I did a lot of research when replacing my roof to find an attic fan to help with the heat and moisture and kept coming back to Remington. Their fans are pricey but for this particular one I love the solar panel, and the optional powering cable to a regular house outlet & the smart humidistat. I opted for both and do not regret it. To save money I find that all the items were cheaper on Remington website compared to Amazon since they have special discount codes you can use. The only issue I have so far with smart feature is that the app doesn’t tell you if the fan is on/off. It only gives you the option to set the temp and and the humidity level. If you want to know if the fan is running, you’ll have to visually verify which is not often an option especially if this is installed in a crawl space. Besides that, the fan works well, it does help with dropping the temperature and humidity in the attic and I look forward more testing and will update my review as I see fit. Great product to have if you need to vent your crawl or attic space.

Pumps air and is quiet.
So far so good. Really quiet sitting on my deck awaiting for installation. I guess I could hook up the hybrid 110 feature for testing. Will keep ya posted. Post installation and really pleased. Pumps a lot of air and cannot hear it even in closest room. It remained above 80 after sun went down and hybrid 110 house current took over. Now my neighbor wants one.
