We have an ordinance in our city that doesn’t allow us to hang our laundry outside. However I hate drying my clothes because they don’t last as long. We mounted this in our garage. It’s perfect, slightly longer than 1 side of the garage and we were able to hang a great deal of laundry on it. The lock is critical, so make sure it is low enough to reach the lock. Good strong multi fiber cord. Love it. It retracts quickly and easily so we can pull the car back in the garage when the clothes are dry. Now…if we could figure out how to have all the clothes done for at least 1 day…that would be nice.

I haven't installed this yet but the directions and hardware seem very straightforward and easy to install if you have the tools and experience installing something fairly simple like this. The hardware, like the mounting bracket, seems very sturdy and made of good quality metal, but is also lightweight. One thing I really like is that the winding mechanism slows the speed at which the line retracts. So if you pull it out far & accidentally let go of the line, you don't have to worry about it snapping back too fast like a tape measure- causing damage to your wall or hurting anyone who might be standing in it's path. I'd still use caution though, since you cannot engage the lock while pulling the line out at the same time. You can disconnect the line while it's still locked, carry it over to the unit, and then release the locking mechanism to have even more control over the wire and where it's travelling while it's winding back up. Overall, very nice product and pleased with the quality and size. It's compact, has a relatively small wallspace footprint when it's not in use, and perfect for my line-drying needs in my small studio apartment.

This is a fantastic clothesline and I am so glad it was available. It works and fit perfect in my laundry room. Peace

I use it in my three season room with a wood stove. Great for air drying cloths all year round. The only downside is side is if you leave it up for long periods, the line starts to sag and all the closes fall to the middle of the wire.

I've purchased two of these; one for hanging towels and swimsuits in the bathroom over the whirlpool tub (which is all indoor whirlpool tubs are good for), and one in the basement with an 11-foot span. They installed easily with the right tools. I didn't use the anchors that came with them. I used self-drilling drywall anchors, which I find to be far superior to the type that come with this product. With those anchors, I have no fear that they will come out of the wall unless I am stupid enough to toss a soaking wet comforter on it recklessly!

As a costumers, there are certain things I need to hang to dry and this hanging line has been a very useful tool. I keep mine outdoor on my patio and it has helped me dye dresses as well as air dry items that can’t be put in the dryer. I love that when it isn’t being used I can retract the lines and they are out of the way. Overall I’m completely happy with how well and durable this product is.

I mounted this without issue, just took a few tries because the instructions weren't clear. The biggest issue I have is that the retracting doesn't fully retract unless you tug at it a few times. I'll keep it for now, just to keep an eye on the retraction.

Hung this in a bedroom in apartment, it's great, very sturdy.

Loved this product, been using for a long while now. The dismantling of the product can be tricky but other than that, it's great!

In mumbai space is so precious.. and definitely those ropes hanging in the house or balcony looks so bad . This is an awesome solution.. use it at night and day time room looks neat and clean ! Great for my laundry room .

Ho acquistato questo stand retrattile da parete per utilizzarlo nel mio garage, e posso dire di essere estremamente soddisfatto. Il prodotto si estende da una parete all’altra, occupando l’intera larghezza della stanza, ed è una soluzione eccellente per chi cerca uno stendibiancheria capiente ma poco invasivo. La struttura è robusta e ben progettata. Fin da subito ho deciso di fissarlo con tasselli Fischer, diversi da quelli in dotazione, per garantire una tenuta ancora più solida, vista la lunghezza dell’apertura e il carico che intendevo supportare. Con questa piccola accortezza, il risultato è stato impeccabile: lo stand è fermo, stabile e dà grande sicurezza anche sotto carichi importanti. Dal punto di vista della funzionalità, è davvero versatile. Ho provato a stenderci di tutto: abiti, lenzuola, asciugamani e persino coperte pesanti. Ma già così com’è, il prodotto merita pienamente cinque stelle.
