It works for me
I use this religiously in the morning and at night, and it has been working. It's not as drying as I thought it would be. If I get carried away and use it too heavily, I use Prescriptives Comfort Cream over top and that takes care of the flakes. I still get several pimples a week, but they are not as inflamed as they would otherwise be. This takes care of 90% of my problem. If there were a product with 15% benzoyl peroxide, I would try it. I have oily skin and have been treated for acne by the derm for over 30 years. Have been on Accutane and every other product. I would recommend this as something to try for moderate to severe acne. I have to use benzoyl-peroxide resistant towels from Kohl's otherwise they get stained badly from this. Beware, benzoyl peroxide is sneaky and hides, even if you can't see it. (This is a general statement about it, and not something I fault the manufacturer for.) I had put my used towels in with other items in the laundry, and the benzoyl peroxide released in the wash onto other items, spotting them badly as well. Use resistant or white towels and wash separately from colored items. Update 8/18/19: Still going strong. I am only getting one large-ish pimple per month now, and a couple tiny tiny whiteheads. This is a vast improvement over Differin, the last product I tried, which didn't touch my cysts. I am only using this product on the lower half of my face, which is typically the worst area for me. (I am now using a lower concentration benzyol peroxide on my forehead, nose and cheeks, as they don't need such high strength.) Twice a day, morning and night, is a must for me. If it matters, I am in my mid-40s, with very light skin and blue eyes. I have the oiliest skin my dermatologist said she "has ever seen." I even have large, visible oil glands in my mouth; the dentist commented on how unusual they are! Thanks for the genes, Dad. :) I also don't drink milk or indulge in much dairy, and I avoid high glycemic, sugary foods, but my skin gives me the middle finger no matter what I cut from my diet. So treatment is a must for me. In the past, I tried spironolactone, which is helpful for many women, but I didn't like the side effect of having to pee all the time. I lost half my hair with Accutane in my early twenties, even after I ended the course, and my older sister permanently lost two thirds of her hair; my younger sister's hair wasn't affected at all, however, and she did two cycles. Accutane is a crapshoot, but one gets desperate. It only "worked" while I was on it. I then took oral antibiotics off and on over two decades, but I had to stop after I learned an expensive medical lesson. Please be cautious with prescriptions — the side effects can be nasty. Update 7/4/20 I am still happy with how this is working and apply it to my chin, jawline, and around my ears twice daily. I only have to wear foundation for a few days a month now when I get one big pimple and/or one cyst on my chin when my hormones are surging. This is drying, because I apply one entire squirt of it on the lower part of my face, but I prefer dry, flaky skin to the alternative.

I have used this for a number of years.
This product works very well for me. I use it daily and it makes my blemishes resolve faster than any other product I have used. At the same time it is not harsh and doesn't make my skin red or dry or irritated. I am glad they created this formulation, it is the best product I have found for my skin that has benzoyl peroxide in it.

Great for Acne. Beware of the Sun
This product works extremely well for my mild occasional blemishes! It is great at drying out pimples without over drying the surrounding skin. Be careful to avoid ANY sun exposure though as your skin may react if you do not load up on sunscreen (The packaging clearly warns about this so I do not fault the product only my memory). I went out with this on when it was a cloudy day and may have gotten about ten minutes of direct sunlight but my skin quickly reacted with lots of tiny bumps that resembled a rash or burn and took a few days to go away. I have used it since with a heavy duty sunscreen on if I plan to go outside and have not had anymore problems. Overall I would definitely recommend this product but be cautious and use sparingly.

Works for breakouts
It's BPO, it works. This formulation is not too drying. It does not pill, does not leave residue, and absorbs fast. It layers with other moisturizers and skin-care products well. I have oily skin prone to breakouts and I've been using BPO for over 10 years. It is one of the few things I tried that consistently work in controlling the severity of breakouts. I desperately want to move on from BPO to a gentler regimen but nothing else seems to keep the pimples away as well. So, if I'm stuck with BPO at least this formulation is one the best.

Broke me out so bad
When I first got this it broke me out so I put it away in a place I don't look often. Just recently I found it again and couldn't remember why I stopped using it and if maybe it wasn't that which had broken me out. Within 2 days of using this the side of my face was covered in bums the worst breakout I can remember since before covid. Mind you I use 10% bp and pure tea tree on my face often. I'm not sensitive to much.y skin has been mainly clear for the past year or two as a long time acne sufferer this was extremely annoying and a big skin setback. How putting those two compounds together could trigger a breakout is wild.

Works wonderfully
I got this for my teenage daughter. She had fairly bad acne, enough to affect her self image and social life. This stuff worked great. It cut her acne by more than half. It didn't seem to dry out her skin at all and seemed to have no other negative effects. She just ran out. I tried to buy it again but there is note on the product page saying that it is out with no guarantee to be in stock ever. I went to the products actual web site and bought it there, not preferable but whatever. Either way, it works very well. Easily enough for me to buy it again. Great product. so totally worth the cost especially for teens.

Great but….Want the 3.1 back!!!!!
I love this stuff, and it works well for me, but the higher concentration of BP is bleaching out all my sheets and towels :-( I want the 3.1 back!!! It never did that, and was much gentler on my skin. Really hoping 3.1 will be back in stock soon.

It's ok
It works OK, it dries out the Flemish into to three days. But isn't necessarily go away. I don't think I'd purchase again, since I found the drugstore of the counter products work the same.
