Redmon since 1883 Shaker Style Hamper,White

Did not like that it would not hold together.My husband had to put screws in the sides to hold it together.Loved the style, looks so pretty in my bath room. I use it for my hamper.

As many negative reviewers pointed out, this item easily comes apart despite frequent tightening. Very bad designing. Once one joint gets loose, the whole unit breaks apart. I contacted the manufacturer directly (Redmon) and when I mentioned purchasing the item from Amazon, quickly said I would need to contact Amazon. Teflon might help with the cam bolt, they said. NO! I should have returned the item right away (I bought it 2/24) but I liked the looks/price and also thinking maybe a bracket here and there would provide some firmness. I ended up having to put brackets at every corner which was a chore since I couldn't keep the unit from coming apart. Last time it self disassembled, some wood cracked and hinge twisted.

The only thing really that I don’t care for is that it is heavier than I expected, and the lid is definitely heavier than I thought. But over all, nice.

This hamper looks cute when assembled. Haven't bought a hamper in years! Arrived quickly. Packing was really good. All the pieces were wrapped in foam sheets to protect the finish. All the screws and hinges were in individual zip baggies. The holes all lined up. Easy to assemble. It took about 20-25 minutes to assemble. It is particle board with a nice painted finish. For ventilation we might add peg board to the back and sides. The pieces all slide together. Easy instruction sheet also.

Hardware that comes with product does not work. Thankfully we had some of the same type of screws from a prior product to replace a few with. Eventually I will need to replace them all because they do not lock down. The bottom is VERY thin so I have it supported underneath so it doesn’t cave out from the laundry. I would not buy again. If I could rate it zero stars I would.

Looks very nice, very sturdy, and was easy to assemble.

Not the best quality, especially the sides. Lid feels solid. I had to make some adjustments to get the pieces to fit properly.

Very chip material used, thickness of wood so thin and because those screws is so small and hall piece together remain like shaky box.I was able to modify but had a big headache to put together.People who planning to get one, - don't buy.
