Amazing tool for removing shredded screw
Amazing! Worked like a charm to remove a (very!) stuck screw on my bike. I had tried to tighten to specs using a torque wrench, but ended up shredding the screw head (I guess I was doing it wrong or the bit was bad). I ordered this based on review, tried it and it worked immediately. Even better the piece didn't show any traces of wear after removing two stuck screws that way. Highly recommended, this is some quality stuff.

Excellent...
This is an excellent product at a great price. If you need an extractor set, you won't find a better value than this one. It looked as though the package may have had a rough time during transit but it was easy to get straightened up. There was one extractor where the machining of the threads seemed very rough but I don't know if that will affect the performance of that extractor or not. The set worked as easily as you could wish. The directions on the back of the size chart are straightforward and clear. The extractors seem to be very solid, if not over-built, which is perfect. This is a great set of extractors and they are made in the USA! The last two photos are post-extraction. The extractor worked perfectly.

Works as Described - Consider Buying Proactively
I was attempting to perform a CVT fluid replacement on a 2016 Subaru Impreza. Embarrassingly, I ended up purchasing this set after I stripped the T8 hex socket of the fill/check plug. I initially tried a smaller size within the set which appeared to be going well. I seated the bit into the plug with a few taps from a ball peen hammer and carefully dug the bit in flush with a ratchet; slow and steady. However, the bit was approaching the bottom of its threads without the plug relenting so I switched to the next bit size. This larger size eventually did it. I'm unsure if the initial bit used 'primed' the plug so be aware of this. A few important things to note: * I did not drill into the center of the plug as suggested * Minimal rust penetrant was used * Absolutely no heat was applied * This was performed with temperatures at ~18F; dead of winter in the northeast US in an unheated garage * The bit that loosened the plug was not biting squarely into said plug (user error - minimal working room) * The plug was heavily rusted and last loosened by myself ~2.5 years ago and torqued to factory spec at 39 ft-lbs In spite of all the above, this set did the trick and allowed me to change out that infamous CVT fluid. I can say that I'm extremely satisfied with this product. Hopefully I won't need it in the future but I'm extremely happy to know that it's available for other plugs if needed. If you can spare the extra money, I would suggest purchasing it proactively so it's already on hand. With 25 pieces in 1/32" increments (starting at 5/32"), this kit should satisfy most use cases and appears to be undamaged after use. It appears as though it will stand up to the test of time. Negatives (one star removed): * The etching on a few of the bits was marred on delivery making their size borderline illegible * The case was partially opened upon delivery Positives: * Works as advertised under non-ideal conditions * Comes with a fairly rugged carrying case which locks closed and with minimal movement of the bits inside so they stay organized during transport * Should satisfy most, if not all use cases for the average car owner given sizes discussed above Be aware that as pictured, they are not socketed. They are of various sizes as well so you will need various wrenches or sockets to accommodate all bits in the set. Good luck with your extraction! Patience is a virtue!

Worked when every other method failed!
Not much to really say here. I had a stripped out screw in a machine body. Its surroundings were aluminum and plastic internals keeping electrical contacts and connectors made flame or heat out of the question. Took a cobalt bit drilled the just a small center hole of the striped out Philips screw to maximize contact. Used a small ball peen hammer to tap the right size extractor and gave it one extra good hit to really secure it once it bottomed out. Took a socket wrench with correct size SAE socket and slowly began reversing while keeping my left hand pressing down on top of the socket head. After a good amount of effort I was treated with a loud POP and the screw safely backed out w/o incident. If I had to drill it out I would have risked the drill bit wandering into the softer surrounding aluminum and pretty much damage things beyond reasonable compare. I like this set better than the ones that have a 3/8” square hole placed into the bottom because these hold more rigid and do not break or chip from hammer impacts. I’ve seen those sets with the square hole shatter from an electric impact gun, which shouldn’t be surprising as Neither this set or others are impact rated. However I can say that this set when used with an impact have only ever had their tips shear off instead of the body shattering.

My most used damaged screw extractor set.
I've used this twice, and it performed great both times. You use it just like they say: - center punch the bolt - use a left handed bit to drill it out - tap in the correct extractor - unscrew the bolt The first time, I used it on a rusty bolt when changing my oil pan. The second time, I was replacing the ignition mechanism on my car, and VW had filled the bolt heads with some sort of metal (JB Weld?). In both cases, these extractors made short work of the problem.

They work.
These are great. Have only used one so far but it saved my butt getting a stripped front clip bolt out of my vw. There are a lot of different sizes first one I used was to small so make sure you use one that barely fits after you drill it out and you will be golden. They are quite pricey but worth it when your in a jam. Probably don’t need as many sizes as there are so they could slim sown the kit a bit and bring the price down. A little pricey but was worth it just getting the one bolt out saved me a lot of drilling and retapping the hole. Like they say the right tool for the right job will save you time. I would recommend to anyone looking at these. If your looking at them you need them and they do work.

Best buy out there for these type of extractors. I like them way better than the long fluted ones. I do believe you can buy these exact extractors from way more expensive brands
