Arrived quickly via USPS, The box looked like it was in a wrestling match (beat up) but you cannot beat up welding rod anyway. As the previous review stated, you have to 'bake' it before using which is pretty typical for hard rod so it will go in my toaster oven which I have just for the purpose. Have not used it yet (need to hard rod some wear surfaces on some ground engaging equipment) but I'm sure it will be just fine. For the price of admission, it's much less expensive than my local welding supply outlet is on Lincoln Abrasoweld which also has to be 'baked' before using. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying more as I deplete this box, I typically hard rod quite a bit.

Have used this on several large excavator buckets, dozer rippers and blade edges. Flows well as long as the surface is prepped correctly, doesn't like any kind of surface contaminants. Flows well horizontal, ok vertical, not so well overhead. So far has held up well to several thousands yards of pushing hard DG (decomposed granite) and digging the same. Will buy more when needed.

Welded very good . Needed a little more heat to lay a good pass. There was a few rods that were chipped on the end the flux.used the 10 lb box and would order again.

Doesn't look like hard-facing rod doesn't burn like hard-facing rod. It reminds me more of 6011 which is great for mild steel but it's not hard facing. Grinds like mild steel on a bench grinder
