TEN STARS! Using since fall of 2022 - NO LEAKS YET!
These are the best little diapers. As a nurse, I have seen many different types of diapers for people. This design may be the best I've seen yet. We have an older dog who has only recently been having trouble holding his urine through the night. These diapers are very absorbent and the liquid really does turn to a gel deep inside. What I really like is that the tail area can be enlarged to fit and the tabs can be refastened. The diapers do not tear when you take them off like others I have seen. The beauty of this is that he doesn't leak or have incontinence every single night. We only put a diaper on him at night for insurance and when he makes it all night, we can reuse the clean diaper again the next night. You can definitely tell by the feel of the gel and the smell when it is no longer clean. I think it wicks the urine away from the skin because he doesn't smell like urine when he has had an accident. I keep dog wipes handy to keep his skin clean in the event he does have an accident. In short, we will continue to buy these for our dog as long as needed and do recommend them. Our boy is a twenty-pound Cockapoo and the medium is perfect for him. (We started out with the wraps for male dogs... and for him that only ended up as a belly wrap as it didn't keep him covered... ) You can't go wrong with these dog diapers. UPDATE - Our dog will be 17 years old in July. He doesn't see or hear as well and had a couple of accidents so we started keeping the diapers (we prefer to call them his 'lounging pants' in the house, 'sleeping pants' at night and 'travelling pants' if we are taking a trip in the car)... on him around the clock unless we are going for a walk. I will add that he still walks with us every morning 1.3 miles around the block. I have seen him stop and do a full pee into these pants several times when we have misread his cues. The pants DO NOT FAIL. There are nights when he sleeps all the way through the night and the pants are heavy in the morning. There has never been a leak from the pants. I can not say anything more positive than these have been an absolute LIFESAVER. They wick any moisture away from his skin. He never smells.... but of course, we always keep fresh pants on him. There may be other diaper/pants for dogs out there at a better price point, but in our 6 to 7 months of constant usage, I can't imaging ANY better product. THANK you HARTZ for providing such a quality product! (I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY COMPENSATION for this REVIEW and the opinion expressed is 100% true to our experience without ANY BIAS whatsoever) I think our boy is even a little bit more relaxed because there are no mistakes.... he has no problem wearing these either. Update number 2: Our boy is 17 1/2 now and still wears these diapers around the clock except for walks. We now refer to them as his "safety pants" (to the tune of "Safety Dance" for those of you old enough to remember that tune from the 80s)... gotta keep a sense of humor :) This product has never disappointed and we are eternally thankful for this amazing product at a fair price point. Thank you again Hartz!

They fit well onto the back, adjustable, stay on
They fit! Have a senior Shiba Inu mix and she needed some help with temporary incontinence from vet prescription medication for inflammation. She is 38 lbs and we measured her but finding a doggy diaper to fit that goes over her tail, rear back past hips to waist area was a real struggle. Measuring wasn't the problem. Finding a diaper in medium that actually had length over the dogs back at tail, hips to fit around waist was. We already tried 2 other brands & sizes. Hartz trial pack Medium fit did the job. Sticky tabs are great velcro stick. They have a well designed light elastic stretch along the underside and the tail cutout has a good opening but doesn't drop low on the behind. No accident leaking out. Really great works well for medical needs, well made, good price love the velcro stick tabs stay put & adjust, they stayed on and durable enough when tapering off the med causing the occasional incontinence when sleeping that having the same clean one on/off her through the daytime with taking off for outside potty breaks was helpful being still clean unsoiled and able to place back on. Durable enough for her moving about sitting, walking, running around & laying/sleep with no urine leak. She happily did not have any overly tight band fit at the hip waist discomfort as the other brands medium had done. Would work for females when in heat cycle well also and well priced.

Absorbent, fit dog well, stretchy, seem comfortable
One of the dogs that we dog sit for is elderly and a bit incontinent. Most of the time, he can hold his urine, but he does occasionally have accidents. When he comes to stay with us, we try to take him out as often as possible. However, we like a bit of security when we are asleep or out of the home at work. His owner previously tried another brand of doggy diapers on him and they just didn't fit well. He is a very happy dog and when he would wag his tail and get excited, the diaper would slide lower and lower until it just fell off, LOL. I didn't experience that with these at all! The fit was excellent. I ordered the medium (he weighs around 15 pounds) and they fit him perfectly! They are stretchy but still fit well around the waist, legs, and tail. I was worried that urine might leak through some of the openings, especially the tail hole, but that never happened. Not once! The diapers feel soft and don't seem to bother him. He doesn't put up a fight or try to rip them off. If you are trying doggy diapers for the first time, you may have to entice your dog with treats or distract them another way. In my experience, most wiggle around because they have no idea what you are trying to do to them! So far, none of the diapers have leaked. To be fair, his incontinence is minor. He very rarely fully empties his bladder in them and even on the one occasion that he did, the diaper didn't leak. These would be ideal for elderly dogs, females in heat, puppies that are potty training, or those occasions when you have to be away from home for a little longer than normal!

I firmly believe that this brand of diapers is the BEST brand you can get for a dachshund!!
I have a miniature dachshund for reference and I have bought different diapers of different brands, Target, PetSense, Petco, Walmart you name it. Every one I got was unsuitable -the small was too big and the xs was too little it didn’t matter where it was from. They would stay on and when you tried to tighten to attempt at helping it stay on it would restrict her legs. Hartz diapers are perfect fitting! They go up her back enough where the diaper doesn’t slide off, it’s not excessively baggy where it restricts her legs and the tail opening has plenty of room for her to happily wag her tail. It’s very absorbent, better quality than other diapers, there’s never any leaks so it’s protection at the finest, and it’s very simple to put on! The price does vary depending on the size but it is worth every penny! They’re very affordable seeing how many come in a pack. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere like I did, chose Hartz. You’ll become a loyal customer just like I did 🤭🩷

Good, But Big. Size Disparity
These are good and well-made doggie diapers, and I wish I could keep buying them. However, there is a major sizing disparity for mid to large-size dogs. My dog is 26 pounds, right on the cusp of both the M and LL sizes as they state them. Because the LL size description of the dogs is appropriate for German Shepards, Labs, etc each of which is much bigger than my 26 lbs aging rescued mix-breed, I bought the M size. They were too small and kept sliding off of her because they barely covered her haunches, but they absorbed well and there were no leaks. I decided to buy the LL size since that was the next size up. Big mistake for 2 reasons. One, the LL is huge, and will work for big dogs as stated. But the leap from the M size to LL is ridiculous. The picture shows what I mean, with the enormous LL on the left, and the M size on the right. Second, the price difference is staggering. The MM package has 32 for $21. Very reasonable. The price of the LL package is $29 and I didn't think to look at how many it contained on the assumption it would be the same. Shame on me because it wasn't even close to 32 of them. There were only 5 diapers in the package! That's almost $6 each! I estimate the M size to be for dogs only up to 20 lbs, and the LL size should have a low-end fit for dogs of about 55-60 lbs. Hartz needs to make a size or two within that gap and adjust the high-end pricing.

Very good quality and good amount for the price
Been using these for over a year now. The velcro is very strong, it doesn't slide off or leak, it somewhat holds poop but if the dog shakes it can fall out. I use the size XXS, works very good for my little old lady who can't hold it anymore.

Doesnt work as intended.
I really wanted these diapers to work because the XXS size fits my pup perfectly and he’s well within the weight range listed on the package. Unfortunately, the performance just isn’t there. Even with a snug fit, my dog is somehow able to poop through the diaper at times, which defeats the whole purpose. On top of that, whenever he stretches to pee, he ends up coming out of the diaper, so it doesn’t actually catch anything. The sizing seems correct, but the design just doesn’t stay in place during normal movement. The material is soft and the fit looks right, but the functionality really missed the mark for us. I’m hoping the company improves the design because the concept is great — it just didn’t work for my pup.

Secure fit. Great design for a doggie diaper
Just wow! I have to say I really love these and how they fit. I have a miniature bull terrier and she recently got so darn sick the incontinence kicked in100%. Thank gosh I had my father’s older washable bed pads. I ran to the pet store bought washable diapers. They didn’t collect her spills. Soaked through. I ran back the next day and bought their only one in stock diaper. What a joke. They didn’t fit right at all. Slid down her back side. Velcro tape would break off and make it completely useless. These diapers just came and I put it on her and was so happy with the fit. It’s on and around her belly perfectly I got the large going off of what I read here. My girl is 34 pounds and her back side slants naturally down. I have complete confidence these will work through the night. I will update if it’s not working the second photo is of the generic crappy diaper the pet store had. It only fit around her thighs
