it's a very well written text for anyone who works in S&T exchnagers for a living. Combine this with megyesy and moss and you have 99% of what you need to be a decent S&T mechanical engineer. If you work both sides of it (thermal and mechanical) add in yokell and fross and you're good to go.

what I love about this book is how there is stuff there for anyone to appreciate and learn from. It does go into a lot of details and derivations and delves on the code requirements relating to heat exchangers. There isnt a book that deals with problems and issues concerning heat exchangers. so even if you are a fresh engineer or if you are a seasoned expert, there will be something you will learn from this as it covers the basics and goes into alot of details too!
