I picked up the TERRO Ant Killer Plus Multi-Purpose, and honestly, this thing is weirdly satisfying to use. The shake-and-go bag is genius — you literally grab it, flip the spout, and sprinkle it around like you’re seasoning a giant backyard casserole. No scoops, no funnels, and best of all, no touching the actual insect killer. My hands stayed clean, my dignity stayed intact. Living in the Seattle area during winter, I was worried the constant rain would wash everything away in five minutes (like it does with my driveway chalk art), but surprisingly, this stuff doesn’t disappear immediately. It actually stays put long enough to do its job. Ants and other little invaders got the message pretty quickly. After applying it around the perimeter of the house, activity dropped off fast — like they read the eviction notice and politely moved out. Super convenient, effective, and perfect for our wet PNW weather. If you want something easy to use that doesn’t turn into ant soup the moment it drizzles, this is the one.

We have sandy soil at our lake cabin and often find large densities of ant hills along our cabin foundation. TO mitigate getting ants inside, we sprinkle the Terro Ant Killer Plus around as a three-foot buffer. This product doesn't smell but is visible in the sand. Overall, application is easy with the handle and setup and is highly effective. This is a dry granule that doesn't need any dry time. Overall, very happy with the product

I had an ant problem in my house that just wouldn't go away. Ant traps all over the house slowed them down, but after a week they'd be back. I got this stuff, spread it in a ring outside my house, and a whole bunch in the crawl space under it. After about a month, the ants were GONE and didn't come back for nearly two YEARS. About to buy another bag, since as mentioned, the ants came back. But two years from a $10 supply is an excellent deal!

The product works reasonably well and does reduce the number of ants and other insects. The shaker bag makes it easy to apply around the house and yard. However, it takes some time to see full results, and in some areas the insects came back after a while. It’s okay for light to moderate infestations, but for heavy problems you may need something stronger. Decent, but not perfect.

I had a full on ant invasion underneath my hot tub cover. Thousands upon thousands of ants. Pretty gross. I've used Terro inside my house successfully several times, and figured I'd try their outdoor bait traps which appear to be the same thing in a different form factor. While I saw ants going in and out of the traps, it effectively did nothing after several weeks. Meanwhile the ant invasion wasn't relenting, and I didn't even want to use the hot tub because it was pretty disgusting. I finally purchased this product. Again the issue was millions of ants under the hot tub cover. I obviously couldn't apply it anywhere near or in the tub water, and the directions referenced shaking it around the area or even directly on the ant hill. I had no idea where the ant hill was, so I just shook it around the ground near the tub and watered it in as recommended. I'm not kidding, 6 hours later there were NO ANTS. Zero. Call me impressed!

This product killed large black ants around my home that other products didn't. Unsure of the longevity/barrier protection, but it killed what I needed killed within days. Note: It does take some time to work for all the minion ants to spread the poison to the nest.
