Great TV at a great price!
Very happy with this product! The TV has a nice clear picture and was super easy to mount into my existing TV mount. Only one complaint - and it really isn't the seller or product but in the delivery process. This tv was delivered a day after the promised date, and quite late in the evening while I happened to be out (after staying home all day the TV was due as well as the next day up to six pm, when I went out to dinner). The delivery company (I dare not say the name for fear my review won't be posted but it's the boys in brown - lol!) left this HUGE box sitting right on the porch in front of my front door. This time of year, there are many packages stolen even in my neighborhood. Thankfully, I happened to look at my phone at the exact moment the pop up message came announcing the delivery. I panicked but was able to contact a neighbor down the street who was able to quickly come up to my home and, after I had to tell her where the emergency key was AND my guest alarm code - now changed just in case - she was able to drag the box inside my home. Strongly suggest you leave a message for seller to leave a message for delivery company (if you can follow that) to either require a signature or designate a hidden place for your package to be left. As for the TV though, this is what I have learned: 1) Unless you watch a ton of serious HD TV or HD gaming, there really is not much difference between this and the double resolution. I promise. I have the other in my living room. Also, if you are thinking of getting a "smart" TV, DONT! Just buy this TV and an Amazon Fire STICK or ROKU OR plug in your Xbox 360 or Xbox one and you get EXACTLY the same service for several hundred dollars less! Seriously - tons of free movies stations plus Hulu and Netflix and Fox News and I could just go on and on! This TV is perfect for my bedroom and I cannot believe the amazing price!!! I gave myself an early Christmas gift! Hooray! Buy this TV! I know nothing of the brand but for the price I can't go wrong. Oh one little thing I found exceptionally ironic - the TV was made in China, but printed in large letters on both large sides of the box is written "America's Choice". That cracked me up! Still, a decent TV for a great price!

A great product for a picky consumer!
A really amazing product. I can write paragraphs about this features and quality of Avera. First, I bought two of these after observing the market for high definition, HDMI LED non-Smart televisions, First, I scouted electronic and discount stores for an overview of the 32" marketplace. In doing so, I found Smart TV's were a focus, and 3D/4G were popular. Basically brands that perform and appear the way I expect were costlier, such as Proscan or Sharp. In my case, where I needed televisions and what I expected technologically was more important than the latest bells and whistles. I don't need a Smart TV as I use AppleTv as a primary streaming device with DirectvNOW. So, HDMI, Sound & Picture quality, HD 1080p and the number of inputs of course were my focus. Note the description states it is a 720p LED backlit television. Actually, before my purchase I searched the internet to find the manufacturer is a major Chinese tech company, and their advances in other areas were extremely impressive. Then, I read the specs and found the TV has a multi-core processor, advanced mapping, virtual 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate plus high contrast due to lighting in millions of pixels independently adjusting automatically. Additionally the sound is high definition - all due to advanced development and in-house production of impressive computing components designed within the corporate structure of "CEC - China Electronics Corporation". Add to that an 18 month warranty and Support via toll-free telephone and email service, it's hard to find this quality at amazing low prices. At first setup, it was easy to handle choosing video and audio settings that looked and sounded great for my space and expectations. Only one thing is am issue, the remote must be pointed directly at the lower left hand part of the television for a response. At first it was annoying however it no longer is an issue. Overall, the Avera experience is flawless and I will continue to buy this brand with confidence as much as I have in the past with Sony and Mitsubishi. Their corporate website is Averadigital.com.

You get what you pay for and a bit more with this one *if you paid what I did
Meh! I am giving 4 because of the price I paid ($125 cyber Monday). It works and pretty well for the price. Had I paid $300, I would be upset and it would boomerang back to Amazon. It is a total no frills absolute minimum TV. Lets start at the bottom and work our way up. The real estate it takes up is minimal, nice footprint. Easy access to all the ports. Bezel nice size. Design in general is up to par. Ease of use is not so hot. I really do not like any TV that can only be controlled without a remote. This has a kind of joystick on the back that will power it on and as far as I can tell, control the volume. Frustrating part, is that I cannot find a remote code for my Time Warner/Spectrum remote. Oh, on the remote itself..... very narrow field of range. You really need to be at the same level and within 12 degrees to left or right of the right hand bottom side of the TV to get the remote to work. Just an awkward remote in general as far as feeling. Let's get to the performance. As stated at the begining of these review...."Meh". *Power on (boot up) is slow. You need to look at the power light on the bottom right to confirm in fact you did power up. *Really bright splash screen. If you are in a dark room, cover your eyes. It is an all bright white splash with a small black Avera logo. *Picture at first was way out. Super washed out... too bright...to noisy, just not a good one. Took some tweaking to get to a good picture. Fortunately the picture adjustments have a pretty broad spectrum so you have a lot of wiggle room to get it just right for your flavor. But really had to dig into all the settings to make it just right for me. But still, after all the tweaks, still just not brilliant. *Refresh rate is 60hz seems to be a bit of a stretch, but either it is tolerance or burn in time, seems to have gotten better after a few hours. *Sound is really not bad, again, having to dig into the settings of the EQ. Right up there with most flat panel TVs, let's face it, you do not buy a TV for it's dynamic sound. It is loud enough and there is definition. Bottom line. Would I recommend this to a friend? Not a yes or no question. Yes, if you are on a tight budget and know how to tweak settings. No if you want it to work out of the box. Would I buy it again? Yes, knowing what I know now and for the price I paid. Biggest frustration (at this point) is not being able to use my cable remote.

My son is happy about the upgrade from 19" to 32" π
I'm in love with my son's new $70, 32 inch tv! Best deal out there! I was nervous because this was a Christmas gift and I hadn't tested it out prior to him opening it on Christmas morning but it doesn't disappoint. The sound is fine. No complaints at all. I just set it up. If anything changes, you can trust that I'll update my review. Good or bad, I ALWAYS update my reviews; especially when there are so many conflicting reviews. My only issue is: I couldn't set this up with his cable remote. We have uverse and the automatic look up didn't work, nor did the 1043 code work for us. π’ Any advice would be helpful. Thank you. I added a few photos of my son, relaxing in his new recliner, watching his new Tv! βΊοΈ Update: I was watching my son's television and got a bit of a headache. The picture was fuzzy/blurry. It wasn't something that I had noticed until I was watching for a several minutes. I had it hooked up with those different color port thingy's and I was told to buy an HDMI plug instead so I did and the picture is incredible now. Moral of the story; if you don't already have an HDMI cord, get one: Your eyes will thank you!

This isn't some amazing Ultra 4K Ultra HD TV, it is a good budget TV.
I bought this TV acknowledging it was a budget TV and really not holding it to the standards of something hanging up in Magnolia. Its an economy TV with no bells and whistles, for the price of this TV you cannot really find better. It is used as a bedroom TV and the picture is as good as I could hope for. Some light gaming is done with it. A cable box and an XBox 360 are connected to it, picture works great on both of them. Is this TV going to be the centerpiece to draw all your friends over and catch a big game on? No. Is it going to blow your mind watching the latest blockbuster with lots-o-splosions? No way. Will your wallet not be hurting and your can watch everything you enjoy with a quality picture and OK sound? You betcha!

Fits the need for a hd upgrade
I purchased two of these tvs over the black friday sales. I have been using one for the last 5 days. For the price the quality is great. It's not an expensive television so please don't expect that kind of quality. The picture is very bright, extremely bright when the logo comes up. It hurts my eyes bright. I hooked up a roku, wii and Blu-ray. The wii on 480i resolution looks bad compared to the other two items. The roku looks wonderful as does the Blu-ray. Also this tv is viewable from any angle even when sitting on the floor looking up when mounted on the wall. This is a huge plus if you want to flush mount. The hook ups on the back are not easily accessible when wall mounted, so i just put cables on first. The sound is loud, but to my ears it's kind of like being in a barrel. There is very little to no bass. I got used to it. The first few days it drove me crazy. I will be getting external speakers soon. Others have had a hard time with the remote. I have not experienced this. You do have to point at the lower left corner. Our bed is 10 to 12 feet away no issues with the remote at that distance. One tv we just opened turned on did a quick check and re boxed will be using at a later time. Here goes the bad news with this tv. When taking out of the box this tv feels cheap. It is lightweight all plastic no metal anywhere to be found. The remote is huge with a ton of buttons. There is limited amount of adjustment to the picture. Just bare bones on both sound and color adjustments. Today is day 5 of use and there is a pixel stuck on. This means there is a pixel that is lit permanently. In order for it to be defective there has to be over 5 dead (permanently black pixel) or pixels stuck on for them to replace per manufacturer warranty. At this point i don't want to pack it back up and send it back to amazon, because its on the lower right side near the bottom of the screen. On a final note these tvs are replacements for very old crt tvs for our home. They meet our need to update hd without a large financial burden. For our family they are perfect. They seem to be an okay budget friendly tv. I did knock off two stars for the build of the tv, the pixel issue, and sound quality. This tv is 3 out 5 stars its not the best and not the worst, its an average tv.

The sound quality on the TV is bad. However
This score takes into account the price I paid. That said, I would not keep a television if there was something about it that made the viewing experience not enjoyable. The sound quality on the TV is bad. However, I don't take the audio quality of speaker built into a thin LED frame into account when assessing a television. Those speakers are there in case you either can't afford speakers or don't care enough about the audio experience to bother with external speakers. The TV does have audio output connectors, which is all I could ask for. The picture quality, out of the box, is "not good". Totally usable though.....just a little unnatural. Once I went into the picture menu and went to the advanced settings and turned off dynamic contrast, the picture became what I would classify as "very good" and is totally comparable to any other 720P screen I've seen. "Dynamic contrast" makes blacks look very black, but it does so at the cost of detail. It will grab anything that's very dark, regardless of color or shading, and make it pitch black. It's not a flaw, just a feature that's on by default that will appeal to people who just want bold colors and don't care about nuance and detail. Set the picture mode to "dynamic" to add some more vividness back to the color while retaining the detail. Or switch HDMI mode to "graphic" and remove all processing.....but that leaves it a little dull for me. I paired this with a Fire TV Stick. Not surprisingly, the USB port doesn't have enough power to power the Fire TV Stick. Still, the combination gives me an outstanding media setup for a spare room.

100% Happy with my Purchase
I can't say that I wasn't a little worried when I purchased this lightning deal, especially considering I knew nothing of the brand name or of the general build quality. The first thing I noticed pulling it out of the box that it was more slim than I was expecting, which is nice. I hooked my PS4, DVR, and PC to it. The PS4 looked pretty good out of the box but I up'd the contrast a bit and put the color temp at warm because I felt the colors were a just a wee-bit flat. Tried out a few games, they all looked great, Netflix looked great, and my blu-rays looked great as always. Next was my cable, everything worked great there as well I didn't do any tweaking with the picture there although I may in the future. As for hooking my PC to it, I did have to do a bit of tweaking here. For some reason the HDMI mode was set to Video by default(Menu -> Picture -> HDMI Mode) and it looks terrible! So I changed the HDMI mode to Graphic and after that it looked fantastic. I'm not sure why it defaulted to such an abysmal setting, perhaps my PC set it that way, but everything was great after changing that. As for the sound overall, it could be better but it certainly could be worse. It's not bad enough that I feel the need to buy a sound bar or speakers, so I guess that's saying something. Adequate. I suppose my one real complaint was the remote. You have to be super aware of where you're pointing it, meaning directly at the sensor which seems to be at the bottom left of the TV. Even pointing at the bottom right seems to leave me ignored by it. Not something I can't deal with, just thought it was noteworthy. Be careful about reading any review by those without a verified purchase. It's a shame they would try to tarnish a TV's rating simply because they weren't fast enough to get the Black Friday deal on it. Who does that?
