Works as designed.
Received this earth auger and overall very pleased. Does exactly what is needed. Started on the second pull. everything feels pretty solid. Which it had a slightly different cotter pin, but drilled a whole quickly. took about 5 mins to drill a 24" deep hole in fairly rocky soil. Did all right all things considered.

It works great
It works really well. It has plenty of power to run the 12 inch auger. It is powerful enough that you need to have a good grip on case you hit rocks, otherwise it will rip out of your hands.

Works well for a while
I'm happy with the power and functionality, but I've had mine for just over a year of light use. Now it's idling low and seems like it needs a carburetor rebuild, but I can't find a replacement carburetor or a rebuild kit for this model.

Great digger for the price
We used this to dig holes to replace posts for our wooden fencing. It was a lifesaver not having to manually dig. It also beats renting an industrial model. The instructions are a little lacking, but if you have any mechanical knowledge, you should be able to figure it out.

Great little machine
Bought this to make post holes easier, works good as long as you don't hit lot of rocks. Made putting in garden fence easy

Couldn't get it to run
The pull start handle on this is too small for the hand. After it starts for the first time it almost immediately stops no matter what I did with the choke. When you try and start it again, the kickback is so severe that the small pull-start handle rips out of your hand; very painful. I never did get it to run reliably. It may just need a carburetor adjustment but I'm not impressed.

Auger works well and customer service was very good
Recoil cord broke but customer service worked well with me to replace. The machine works really well. I’ve dug hundreds of holes with it and used it go trench a wzter line to my shop.

This is not an ECHO. Don't make my Miistake!
Like other purchasers comments this thing has a kick like a mule. Manual is wrong for the model.63cc auger $ 245.00. The worst thing once I set it up and ran it for the first time, the GEARBOX GASKET LEAKED like a SIEVE. Could have and probably should have sent it back. Instead I disassembled the gearbox and went to the auto parts store and bought some Permatex oil based gasket material and added it to the gasket and it seems to be holding. SHAME on me. I thought I was purchasing an ECHO product not this thing (ECO LLC). GOD FORBID if this thing ever breaks down I am Screwed. Will not be using it a whole lot. I just don't want to have to repack and deal with the shipping headache. Baring any MULE kicks, it runs smooth just keeping my fingers crossed. If the manufacturer reads this I would like to be sent a WEB address that has the proper manual and parts list for this product if one actually exists?
